daily blue screens

at least once or twice a day, my computers gets the infamous blue screen and i have to shut it off and turn it back on. the only hardware issue i've experienced lately was my video card died on me, but i wouldn't think that would cause my computer to blue screen itself...

my only other thought is that it would be a virus, but i've run multiple scans and have two different anti-virus programs running (norton and microsoft security essentials), so either of those two would pick up on the viruses if they were there.

i have no clue whats causing this (i'm not exactly the most computer savvy person in the world...), so if anyone knows what causes this, or even better knows how to fix it, that would be much appreciated.

On the BSOD there will be a line stating the exact error similar to this:

This can help finding out what is causing the crash. Depending on what it is, you could just run some Google searches with the error string and there may be others with the same thing. Whatever the severity is will require varying levels of intervention.

I had this problem with my previous computer at least one blue screen a day and I couldn't find the problem either. The last thing I tried was moving everything of importance off the computer to an external hard drive and doing a factory restore. This fixed my blue screen problem but I'm not saying it'll be the same for you, might be something worth trying though.
