Help! Im caught in a vicious steam circle!

So i tried to log onto steam today and it said it was updating so i let it. Then it got to the part where it says "Connecting to steam account:" and it freezes. So i tried a few more times with no success.

So i figured a simple repair would work. well it didnt...

So i went to just reinstall and it removes everything until it gets to the point where its going to remove my directory folder, and it freezes.

Is there no hope for me or what?

yes try moving your steam apps/yourname folder on your own so you dont have to update again and now its simple uninstall then reinstall and replace yor steam apps with the one you took out of the other folder. if that doesnt work then try going to http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/home.php
search your porblem get help from valve emploies!

Try cleaning out Steam's cache. Sometimes it get clogged up pretty bad.

I fixed it. I finally got steam to work i just have to reinstall my games. Oh well. Thanks again guys...
