Need some help and a suggestion!

Just thought i would get battlefield 3 from gamestop using my giftcard. I used their impulse app/service to get it so i wouldnt have to pay shipping. Now i realize my mistake, impulse appears to be a horrible service and extremely broken. The game is in my game section, but i cant update impulse or install bf3. :( i tried running as administrator and my virus software (firewall) has it set open and to do as it pleases. Any suggestions on what to do? I tried contacting their support but nothing yet.

My second part of this post is just asking if i should get deus ex human revolution (the sale on steam) it looks cool but not sure if a buy from me. Any reviews anyone might want to give / recommendations? Thanks for the help!
 
Haven't the foggiest about the first part, but the DE question, for the love of god yes.

If you like FPS games with elements of stealth, DE:HR really brought the 'A' game to the table.
 
Definitely should buy DX:HR and Deus Ex 1 (NOT the second, its bad). Of course, the Square Enix sale is probably over by the time you read this.

Sorry to say, but I don't know how to help the first problem without having to make another purchase on another service. The only gaming services you should use are (In the order from best to worst): Steam, Good Old Games (They are realasing more and more modern games so don't let the "Old" part scare you.), Amazon, Desura (Mostly for mods and indies), and finally Origin. But only use Origin if you have to as a requirement (Like for SW:TOR or BF3).

i actually fixed the problem and got deus ex human revolution! haha. What i had to do was turn off my firewall while impulse updated and then while bf3 installed. I really hated the whole experience with impulse and just wanted to use my gift card and to get the game without waiting lol. My new problem is that bf3 keeps crashing randomly. It runs sooooo smooth on high settings but it randomly just freezes/crashes. I moved the graphics all to low and it still persist :/ im really getting into the game but im getting frustrated when im on a spree then i crash. Any suggestions on what to do?
