It's very similar, I wouldn't say you have to relearn the game at all. Some of the heroes have been tweaked here and there and they've made a ton of UI changes (the most noticeable being the shopping interface as far as in-game goes), but even then a lot of the recipes return with the same necessary items and such.

I play a lot of Dota 2 with KingKaslob and Sn1per, it has pulled me away from tf2 for a few months now. It is the game I play more than any other right now, and has been since I got into the beta a few months ago.
