What do you guys think of the PATCH?

No lie, i think the tanks got straight nerfed, the f2000 got bumped, and now we die from simple things, plus the weapons do a little bit less damage imo.

So what do you guys think about this newest update??

May not seem like much, but one thing I do like is being able to get up from prone and moving faster.

Always seemed really slow before.

A number of weapons feel a bit less accurate at a distance. I think I can compensate if I use breathing on more than just sniper rifles though.

Jury is kind of out on sniper rifle power at closer ranges. The one shot kill to the torso may be more realistic, which would be cool, but it does take some of the challenge away.

edit: Agreed with H9 that the new mini-map is awesome. Been practicing my s.o.s with the horn a bit :)

Quick thing, on battlelog stats, the M16A3 is showing up as a M16A4... haven't yet noticed if any other weaps are confused.

I wasn't really effected by the patch at all. But I can say that the additions of the new minimap and the car horns are some of the coolest things in this game.

I hate the orange on the minimap, and the gigantic revive icons as Assault.

Horns are a major plus.

The game feels clunkier now, and changed.

New attachments are meh.

I'm sure the PP-2000 and G3A3 action will calm down after a bit.

All in all, I'm hoping for another patch to fix some of the minor things they broke in this one, such as the MAV (it spawns, but if you're near an ammo box you'll get another before you can access the current one).

For the most part I'm digging it. The minimap is perfect now, especially the 1/2 sat version. Haven't had a chance to make a jeep go beep beep yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Yup, been that way all along. Same with the M4 and the M4A1.

I like it, but I'm sorta peeved that they removed the ability to keep claymores after you die as Support. Just because I die doesn't mean my car disappears.

I also like being able to get up faster from prone.

Vehicle horns are epic, especially given that I can lay on it for as long as I want.

Normal mode feels more dangerous than it used to, and I like that, even if I am dying more.

haha this is true, you will always have that guy though that will play theme songs with the horn >_> lol

Other than the tanks getting nerfed too much, this patch was excellent.

Some one put it: "feels like we've been playing the Beta this entire time, and now we have the full game"

that being said, when I look at all the changes, I can easily say that the game has become very balanced, the hard part is adjusting to the changes.

The new minimap is awesome, and commarose

I'm just glad I can finally honk at people before I run them over.

Or the "Shave and a Hair Cut" honk.

New minimap is good

I hate the new suppression system that throws your aim off crazily, first person who shoots wins...

Haven't tried all the weapon changes but the ones I did were reasonable

I can understand why they up the speed for med packs... but increasing the speed for ammo resupply?

Personally I hate it. Weapons only seem to do less damage when I'm using them even when I'm aiming at the head while everyone else can kill me aiming everywhere but my head because of a genius idea to make suppression benefit the spray and prayer... I'm forced to use certain weapons because anything else and I'm asking to get owned by everyone else... In an attempt to get people to use other attachments they made the most used ones terrible and the crappy ones good rather than making the crappy attachments on par with the good ones and leaving us with a legitimate choice... Whoever thinks this is a more balanced game now should really evaluate their definition of balanced...

I believe that all these changes are geared to make the gameplay slower. It is now a lot harder for a single person to lone wolf and do a lot of damage. I think this will make squad battles and large battles happen more often because of the fact that people are having a harder time aiming and the fact vehicles now have a hard time pushing an entire team back by itself.

I haven't played any small maps since the patch.
I've used single shot mode on weapons a lot more to help with the accuracy debuff

feels like we are almost out of beta. it's a shame it took them this long to implement the patch.

getting explosives (particularly 320) from ammo packs is slower than before

getting bullets from ammo pack is faster

i think.

Suppression effect got an unnecessary buff - you pretty much can't fight back if you're suppressed (that means whoever shoots first, even if they miss they pretty much won that gunfight).

Tanks feel paper thin against other tanks. DICE nerfing the foregrip was completely unnecessary and it's pretty much utterly useless - they're trying to force people using either:

1) No under barrel attachments (if you're Assault, you can opt to an underbarrel launcher but that'll remove medpacks)
2) Bipods (more campy gameplay).

I welcome every other gameplay fix such as MAV riding and weapon buffs/nerfs though. But the negatives of this patch pretty much makes it nearly unplayable for me.
