I've wanted to make videos on my pc for a while now but whenever I use fraps it makes HUGE file sizes. Is there a better software I should use? Thanks!

xsplit - plain and simple the best one i've used. setting it up can bite you but its awesome

and second runner up would be overwolf, and its many overlay proporites make it very handy.

I use Microsoft movie maker

i use fraps with 1tb harddrive, best i've used so far. i've also tried gamecam. was ok but quality was not to my standards

Keep using fraps. After you're done recording, just throw your videos into your video editing program and render it in a different format such as WMV. The size of the file should shrink to a fraction of what fraps records it to.
