What up everyone. Just got this idea while listening to some old game soundtracks on youtube.

As the title states, what id your favorite WW2 shooter besides DoD or even before DoD?

This one was easy for me, hands down..

This is THE GAME for me. This game had me entranced. When I stormed the beaches of Normandy on the first mission I truly felt like a BAMF. The mission Arnhem Knights was moving for me even at the age of 12 or 13. The soundtrack is incomparable to other games, for me anyway.

I played this game over and over and over and over. I enjoyed medal of honor underground for PS1 as well, but frontline did it for me. I still play the PC version occasionally.

I can't tell you how many hours of my life I wasted on this game.

+1

I was going to add that into my OP.. CoD the first was a GREAT game.. Too bad CoD sold out and started marketing towards 10 year olds who don't even know WW2 happened (cough cough MW and black ops COUGH). Sure change is necessary eventually, but those games are wack. BF beat them to all that lol.

ANYWAYYY continue on :D

Its WWII with a sci-fi twist, but also one of the most underrated games I have ever encountered. It would have been much more mainstream had the devs not been Russian, working with a low budget.

And its expansion:

Both are turn-based strategy games, but still my favorite WWII "shooters".

I played countless hours online with MoH Allied Assault/Spearhead. The original CoD was good too.

Probably one of the first WWII style games I played online, played the original DOD in LAN format, but never online.

Dito! I loved the gameplay of this game and the supernatural twist was in line with real Nazi research.

I'll definitely go with "besides" since I've been playing DOD since 2000 when the beta was released and Hill classic was one of the only maps :P

i loved this game until they started making it solely for zombies. at any rate, it's probably one of the most accurate WWII shooters, imo.

worth the $20 i paid for it off of Xbox LIVE.
