Glad to hear you got it sorted out. You should try putting an antivirus/malware solution on your PC. Security Essentials is pretty good for being free. And nothing is absolutely fool proof, including the bloated, expensive ones.

Uninstall Norton. ONLY run Microsoft Security Essentials. If you use more then one antivirus they will have issues with each other. MSSE even states this in the install. This includes SPYBOT or any other protective software that would be actively monitoring your computer. It is okay to still have SPYBOT installed but have teatimer turned off, etc.
