Wisdom Teeth!!

im gonna pull 2 of mine in the near future.. hopefully before they get abscessed

i have yet to have mine taken out, and from what i have heard, it sounds very painful. i basically have a fear of any sort of mouth procedure, so i detest going to the orthodontist/dentist.

on a scale of 1-10, how painful is it afterwards?

It's actually not too bad. Not near as bad as I thought it was going to be. 1-10, probably a 4 or 5 simply because of the fact that you can only eat pudding and yogurt for the first couple days afterwards lol. I actually only had 1 day where I would say it "hurt", but I just took the pain pills and it solved that.

the second time i broke my arm they put me out when they reduced it

i have no idea what they put in my IV but they said "count back from 10 while it takes effect"

so i start counting

10...9...8....so am i supposed to feel tired? and why does my chest feel cold?...7...OUT

i woke up an hour or 2 later (not sure about that, i was really out of it) and i swear my first thought was "...6"

that stuff is evil

Yeah haha. I've heard of people waking up and they keep counting where they left off.

On a scale of 1-10 I would say 0. I got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out over the summer and never needed any pain meds and was actually eating solid food within 2-3 hours once the anesthesia full wore off.

The trick is to get them taken out before they cause problems. People that wait until their wisdom teeth start causing problems are the ones who experience pain and other complications.

The same thing happened to me when I had surgery on my hand(reduced metacarpal). Except she told me what it was...When I woke up the first thing I said was "Wasn't that what killed Michael Jackson?" The nurse got a kick out of that.
