foundry lags like...

i don't get it in other servers, that includes other eGO servers but every couple of minutes or so i get a lag spike in foundry...whenever that happens i almost always die...or does it happen because i die...idk...wazap with annoying lagz?

Ever since i stopped playing on our servers, I dont lag anymore, I just think its our servers. Just saying.

i dont usualy lag, but when i do, i have to many other programs running at the same time. Is TF2 the only program running? thats just my suggestion

I usually have an average ping on our servers but go to task manager to see if anything else is running in the background

Only way to be sure is to join a different server and then find out for yourself.

The DoD servers don't lag at all, well atleast donner, even when they are 32/32 and i believe they are located where the tf2 servers were before they were moved.

Foundry lags because it's not on an eGO box. The foundry server was rented and was supposed to be temporary for the Halloween event but ended up being so popular that there was no point in removing it. Right now I would assume leadership is trying to figure out how to get it on an eGO box without losing it's rank, although I really have no idea.

It has nothing to do with ShawnJ's system I get the lag spikes all the time and the red connection warning only on foundy. I play tons of other steam games and don't get connection issues. I'm fairly certain it has to do with the server itself.

ahhh. well they're gonna have to move at some point anyway. might as well move now and gradually build it again. foundry fills pretty fast anyhow.
