Unfortunately, no real reviews on z77 boards. This seems like a fairly decent one (though it is micro atx so it has less slots; not sure you will need more slots then for the vid card). This board has x8/x8 pci-e slots which will be good for crossfire/sli if you ever go that route. Most of the cheaper boards seem to only have 1 x16 and 1 x4 (which could bottleneck the second card). So as you can see, a disadvantage of intel is also more expensive mobos.
As for the graphics card, I am not a fan of going with last gen tech. You did pick one of the more expensive 570s (since it is factory overclocked), but the cheapest 7870 is only slightly more. These are on par in bf3 (once you overclock the 7870 slightly to match the factory overclock of that 570), but overall it is the faster gpu. It also has 2 gb vram (which can be a benefit in newer games), uses a lot less power, runs cooler, and overclocks better.
BF3 is a nvidia favored game (or else the 7870 would perform a bit better), so if that is the only game you are buying for, then get what you want. If you plan to branch out, the 7870 is the better buy imo at that price point (unless you go with one of the cheaper 570s and overclock yourself which would be my recommendation if you go that route).
As for 1600 ram, the main thing you need to look at is the motherboard. I doubt it is a problem, but the cpu is not the compatibility issue here. Most motherboards should not have a problem though.
