Does any one know how to make a custom alienware? i wish i had an alien ware......but i do know how to make my own computers i made my own custom

Well you can try going to the alienware site and have them build you a custom comp or if you just want the parts you can probably find them on ebay. Alienware computers usually use nVidia products which you can find just about anywhere.
However, if you're talking about just making your computer look like an alienware computer, I'm sure you can find a alienware styled tower somewhere for sale that you can put your hardware into.

There are two reasons that Alienware are in business. Number 1: They build kick butt gaming rigs for those who don’t know how and are willing to pay for it. Number 2: They have cases that they only get, so short of finding an Alienware shell on EBay, you’re out of luck. I would build a computer out of the same components and put them in a cool generic case. Just as good as Alienware at half the cost.

How do you guys have enough money to build your own computer and considering the cost of high-end parts these days, it doesn't seem too appealing.

GPU: 8800GT (512mb)
MOMBO: 680i
HD: 250gb 7,200rpm
CD/DVD: 20X combo
PSU: 750watt.
O/S: Home Premium
TOTAL COST: $1,500
My Build:
Case: Antec 900 (better case. better cooling. more lights) $120
CPU: Core2Duo E8200 (2.66ghz) $180
GPU: Evga 8800GT (512mb) $200
MOMBO: Evga 680i $180
HD: Seagate 250gb 7,200rpm $65
CD/DVD: Sony 48Xcombo $18
PSU: Corsair 750TX $175
O/S: Home Premium $99
TOTAL COST: $1,037
So theres the difference. $463 dollars. But thats just the same exact system. Now think:
If you had 1,500 dollars. Would you rather buy an alienware PC that was good. Or make your own pc and add 463 dollars worth of better product in it?
The thing is, you can get a BETTER pc for the same price as a brand name pc that is significantly worse.
Oh and also some of the products i added in my build were better than the alienware build. So you can:
A. Save money.
B. Build a better computer for the same price.

To all of you guys who say Alienware is only in business because of their exclusivity and case design; I'm going to have to disagree with you (as far as laptops are concerned, at least; I totally agree about the desktop issue). Alienware is (to my knowledge) the only laptop maker right now with both an 8800mGTX in a 15.4" laptop that can have up to 5 hours of battery life (with the SmartBay option).
I guess for some this isn't a big deal, since, you know, few people would game on a laptop, but since I'll be in college next year, that's sort of a big deal.
Even with this rant, I've got to say I'm very very hesitant to buy Alienware Notebooks (and probably won't) because of the m51x's heating issues and graphics card down-clocking problems. Compounded with the fact that Alienware has HORRIBLE customer service, I can only pray that some other company (i.e. Sager/Clevo) can come up with a competitor to the m51x that has decent battery life; After all, what would be the point of buying a 15.4" laptop instead of a 17" laptop with the same specs if the 15.4" one didn't have a significant mobility/battery advantage?

I could not find a single Alienware case on EBay, I did however find a pretty cool looking one that looks like an Alienware case.

You can also build a PC off of my friend's website www.HDrive.ca in the service section, he has an on-going special package deal going on where as you buy more stuff it gets cheaper and cheaper
Yeah Alienware is a rip off for price. If you are willing to pay for it go ahead, but you can get better equipment elsewhere much cheaper (as stated 10 times in this post). I have not visited their site in a long time, but it would be interesting to compare them versus our new sponsor cyberpowerpc.

I ordered over the phone because experience has taught me that online companies tend to screw up detailed orders from their website forms. I got a great price, as usual 1000+ cheaper than alienware and company. That said, the neon case light I ordered was not included, though I wasn't charged for it either. Another minor detail, the Audigy sound card had the front plate option and a cable wasn't connected to enable the ports on it. Luckily, I'm not hardware retarded so it wasn't a big deal. About a year later my hard drive died, can't really blame them on that one either. It was covered by my warranty so they sent me a UPS shipping label for return and got a new one back in a reasonable time.
Overall I'd say it was an average-ish experience and given the option between them or alienware/northwest/voodoo etc, the decision was/is easy. And don't give me the apples and oranges excuses, same processors, same drives, same OS, and yet 1000's higher price tag? Noone's rep is worth that unless you're that insecure... and alienware always seems to be slightly behind the curve on new cpu's and video card options. No crossfire setup, still...? If Nvidia is giving them some great deal for that it doesn't show in their prices. Not trying to turn this into an alienware bash. I've never owned their products, maybe they are well built with great customer service. But when I can afford to buy 2 pc's with the price difference, they make it easier for me to afford issues that might arise from a lesser known company."
