Question about TF2

Hello, I am in the Cod division and just got TF2 as well. Does my in-game name need to be the same as my forum name? As well, will there be a process that I must go through to get my in-game e on the servers? (I have never played this before so if there is a certain way that I need to get onto the server, could you tell me as well?)

Depends which division you want to be in. You can be in any division, but play another division's game. If you wanna join the TF2 division and leave CoD, send each divisional leader a message on the forums stating you're leaving and going to whatever division.

No, if you are already part of the COD Division (or any other division), you do not need to make an application.

You do not need to be in our TF2 Division to play in our TF2 servers. You are free to wear your e tag as long as you are a member of any division of eGO. However, you might need to enter your SteamID in MAUL, so you can be identified as a member on our Source servers.

(I'm not sure of the last part, but it would help so an admin doesn't think you are a regular pub wearing our tag.)

You can play in any game just you can pick which ever game you play more and have that be your main "division" but of course you can hang out on our other servers.

yes you would need to setup ur maul. as its a steam game. maul is our management system. all you need to do enter your steam id..
While in-game open the console using the ~ key and type status in the console.

The MAUL is just for Source games. (Remember, you can have your e on all games of eGO. MAUL just helps us make sure we know you're an eGO member.)

Here is how you can set it up.

1. Find your Steam ID. You can follow what ShadowSmelt said or get your Steam community profile's url and enter it at steamidfinder.com. Copy the ID that it gives you.
2. Enter/paste your Steam ID in this page MAUL: my game id
3. Join one of our eGO TF2 servers. You should get a message that your ID is verified. You can also check your forum profile and see if it says "Verified" next to Verification Status.

MAUL is our way of making sure each of our source game members is playing from a valid steam account and to enable ease of use for our moderators to keep track of each of our members. MAUL is not tied to the computer you use, but to your steam ID.

if you've e in one game then you can have e in another game. likewise if you've eG or eGO in one game then you can have eG or eGO (respectively) in other game.
