This was attempted on the Orange server in the past with dod_orange_sniper (or something sounding like that), and was generally unsuccessful.

Like many have said... it was fun for folks for the first 15-20 minutes, and then wore thin.

In RL you can coordinate with other snipers to cause confusion as to where the shooter is. Whereas in DoD, once you die, you see who and where you got shot from.

I honestly would prefer a paintball style map, limiting the classes to strictly assault and support. Also customizing the map to eliminate nades would make it more intense.

You would actually be required to work as a team to ensure you don't get shot in the back or from the blind side.
