So there I was, quaffing my first Guinness when Bones arrives. Sure he's tall enough to be used as a ham radio antenna but he moves quiet. Then again, it's loud enough in Joe's that Bones could have approached driving an M1 Abrams tank and I wouldn't have heard it.
"Quaffer, what's new"
"Nu is the thirteenth letter of the Greek alphabet, but you knew that. What weighs on my mind is what's old."
"Old! What for?"
"Exactly. Four years in eGO. You know all about that. You've been sporting that diamond ribbon for a few months now. Mine just came out of the box. Has it really been four years since I was told if I was more careful with my language I could join up. What do you think? Am I careful with my language?"
"Well Quaffer," Bones muses, "If you were as careful with your mouse as you are with your keyboard you'd be four times the player that you are now." Bones has now acquired his first stout and pauses to partake.
"I don't deny it. Of course a wee bit more practice would probably help there as well."
"So here's to the old times and the untold pleasures to come." We clink our glasses.
"I can still remember the night FluffyTDestroyer dragged me into a vent room and told me she needed to talk about my style," I muse. "I was channeling Bill Cosby as Noah; 'Whadda ya want? I've been good'. Then she gave me my G. DirtyDeets was laughing his... well he was laughing. Good times.
"Now we've got eGOs driving tanks, working in mines, casting spells, piloting space ships. It would seem that the sky is no longer the limit."
"Well," Bones allows, "there is one thing that has stayed the same."
"What's that?"
"1. No foul, degrading, or racist remarks.
2. No inappropriate or disrespectful ..."
"That's true, We're still holding on to the best part of it."
