I find it incredibly humorous that although Jagex has battled against free trade since the beginning of Runescape, it is almost as if they have thrown in the towel. Jagex has realized they will never be able to overcome the large population of RWT websites, so they have joined in! $19.99 USD gets one player 300-400k experience. Sure, it's not as cheap as powerleveling but of course there are those players who always stand by Jagex and would never dare break a rule. Jagex has just made RWT legal.

Thoughts?

By the way, this was the final straw for me. I have played this game for eight years (when my friend first introduced it to me in second grade) and I cannot stand it anymore. Not only is the average players online 1/4 of what it was a year ago, but there are still bots in the game skewing that number. If you don't believe me, visit green dragons. If I had to sum up my early childhood, this game would be it. I have maxed one account and I was on my way to do it twice (as I uploaded videos of me maxing my second account on YouTube). Unfortunately, I will never be able to do so because of this excellent marketing ploy on Jagex's end. After all, I can't imagine how much money this has pulled in beyond their already monumental membership fee profits. Goodbye RS.

Honestly JaGex has been messing itself up since lat '09-10 in my opinion.

Now they are so far in a rut its embarrassing to even call it a worthy game anymore.

I started playing Runescape back in the 4th/5th grade. I've seen most of the changes and it's kinda ridiculous. Runescape isn't what it use to be anymore, sadly,I don't think it will ever be again.. :/

It might go back to the way it once was, but only if people everywhere actually start protesting the changes, which they don't. the new players to the game have no idea what the game used to be like, and the older players just stop playing.

I played since classic and even have a classic cape in game, and some days i wish it had have stayed like it was

Same, I loved going back on classic but at this point it's just about dead. Completely. Just shows where all the old players have gone. Not on Runescape, that's for sure.

I know a good group of my friends that I know would love to have the old Runescape back.. :/

I wished they would have done the update separately.

Like have a Classic Server, a server before this new update (i.e. the one from '09) and then have a server with all these new updates they've done in the past year or so.

I would so go back to the old graphics that I used to love. Yes, they were pretty pixelated and lacked fluid movement, but I loved that about the game; simple, but fun!

Sadly, with the amount of players (older players) leaving the game because they won't bother with the new updates JaGex has placed, we will never have a strong voice over the company :/

Anyone see this garbage Jagex is posting about feedback? 90 percent of people like the squeal of fortune because according to Jagex logic spinning the wheel (even free spins) means you support the update.

Please visit the Runescape Forums and go the existing content section and reply to the petition threads to get this update removed!
