What up! Air Force baby - 2 years strong, pushin 3. Crew Chief on A-10's baby.

Enlisted in the Army National Guard at seventeen ended up going to Basic Training then finished my senior year in school and finished my training. Not soon after injured my knee after some crazy PT and ended up getting a discharge. The ironic thing is it wasn't a medical discharge but an uncharacterized discharge due to a defective enlistment agreement. Figured they went defective enlistment agreement so they wouldn't have to pay out a bunch of medical expenses. At least my knee is doing fine so long as I don't go all crazy and over work it.

Really wish I could enlist, but the fact that I take medication on a daily basis automatically disqualified me.

I was honorably discharged less than two months ago from the Israeli army. Platoon radio operator/sgt. in an infantry unit.

And to all of you military people out there, there is an award for military service in ego.

Featherfoot, nice to hear! That's a sick job. I'm an Operations Mission Intelligence Coordinator and Analyst. I basically am the guy playing chess(war) behind the scenes. And nice, I been in 2 years also.

no but i want to not sure which one

If you're interested in doing a special force unit, I did joint training with quite a few U.S. SOF units, including Green Berets, 75th Regiment, PJ's and SOAR.

They're all awesome, but for me I would go SOAR or go home.

well your the 1 who put's our guys in the wrong places all the time :P no wonder why we can't find the taliban over here :P

haha j/k btw, good job I know quite a few friends in the profession and they are pretty smart in those systems.

Attempted to enlist in the Army but my hearing was too poor for them to accept me. :)

That's what up, I'm a Nuclear Eng. for the USN, 9yrs. #nobrainer

I have the same dream as you. I have been using that as a motivation for me to do better in school. I look up to engineers and men like you that protect our country. I wish to serve on a Virginia Class Attack Submarine after training and I plan on re-enlisting until the day I retire!

No, but I want to be. Unfortunatley the Canadian Forces only opens like 60 infantry positions a year and get thousands of applicants. My brother is currently serving in Afghanistan. He's an infantry officer.

I'm a Naval Engineer in the Coast Guard. Joined up back in 2002 and still going strong. Will be moving again this summer to my next tour in Michigan.

Not yet, but I'm interested in joining the Airforce. What job? No idea yet. Probably a Tactical Aircraft Specialist or something of that nature, earn my bachelors, take officers school, flight training, and hopefully rejoin as a pilot xD

Just something I've really been considering lately.

I cannot join to due asthma. I looked heavily into joining though and was on my way once i graduate college to go into Officer Candidate School (OCS) through the Marines. Oh well. -- Although...my twin brother joined the Oregon National Guard recently.

if your speaking of tactical aircraft maintence then you'll be with me - a crew chief (laymens term) trust me, as a crew chief - you'll either want to be a pilot more - or come to despise them all together. its something we'd have to discuss outside of the forums for me to really convey it to you. to tell you what being a crew cheif really is.
