As you probably know the Carl Vincent is docked in Freemantle but unfortunately there does not appear to be any mention of visiting the ship, I will have to wait until next time, It is a marvelous view.

That would definitely be an amazing ship to visit on!

I know here in San Diego we have a large naval presence always see ships leaving and coming into the harbor. We also have the USS Midway docked downtown than people and tour and such. It's really neat to go on and you can even have parties on it for a modest fee of course.

I see what you did there. Every Navy person is either rolling in their grave or digging one to roll in.

Fun random fact: Within the Navy, there is a rivalry between people on ships and people on submarines. When submarines first came around, the ship guys called the subs boats. Boats is a degrading term used to poke fun at the Navy. They prefer they are called ships. The ship guys were making fun of the subs, but the sub guys took over the term and call subs boats. Disclaimer: I am not in the Navy, I have only heard this from other service members.

every year, my school plans a trip to some city around the country, like san francisco or boston. anyway, 2 years ago we went to charleston, sc, and the first night we were there, we spent the night on the USS Yorktown.
