I've been working with computers (building, using etc...) since I was 8 years old, back in the days of the 8086 and 8088. I'm currently a bench tech. Of course I build my own. They're just never "current" because as I said... I'm just a bench tech.

Other:
I bought my Dell XPS Desktop at Bestbuy, it had everything I needed to be able to build onto it and be happy with my set up, enough ram room and upgrade readiness on the motherboard for me to be able to add on to it for a few more years, the hard drive had the right amount of space 1T and slot for more hard drives to be installed later, as well as a ridiculous amount of maximum ram which I never will have to reach, also enough room for me to dual some Video cards for SLI, and wireless capability (which was good because my computer room is no where around the family computer)

I am using an ancient MacBook Pro that used to be my husband's work computer... so it's "from work", in a roundabout sort of way. :)

started as a computer in a box... and I just kinda switched up a 80% of the parts over time.

Would that not be, "Computer in a box", bought in person, in a store (bestbuy, etc)"?

Even if you changed it over time, did it not come "from a box at best buy"?

bought it at best buy with a new grachic card which they did not put in my computer :/

Friend gave it to me because he was too lazy to send it in to get it fixed. Btw, it's a laptop. Got two laptops for it actually...

I built it myself, using the website of Cyberpower PC who used to be one of our sponsors. Great site, highly recommend it.
