steam account just got hacked *sigh*

no idea where the right place to put this is, but my account got hacked a few minutes ago, id of sent a ticket to steam already but their site seems broken or something.
 
That's too bad man, I've had that happen before.

As long as you can provide the right information to steam they can get it back for you, I wish you the best of luck. I hate thieves.
 
i took me a month to get mine back when it was hacked, i tried playing insurgency on a fresh one, it didnt work
 
ye the right info ie a used cd key that you used on ur account or if you bought a game through steam then a transaction id would work. that will get ur account back

yeah exactly. I gave them one of my CS:S ID's because that's what I played back when it happened. It took me about 2 weeks.
 
You have just joined the club, I lost my account a couple of weeks ago, the big problem is I lost all my games and as senior I cannot afford to replace them. I have never liked Steam .
 
If you guys ticket steam giving them your email, old emails of transactions, or a cd key/credit card number you used you can get it back. Possibly even your address may work if you bought something from them.
 
yeah ive sent in a ticket with info they asked for, their whole support system is such a mess though, even the emails they've sent me barely make sense.

also, judging by what the hacker is playing it looks like he did it for TF2 hats... and i didnt even have an hour played on it... man i really hate that game now.

i honestly have no idea how it happened, i didnt click any suspitious links or anything, i was in game when i got the whole "you've logged in from another computer" thing.
 
well i got it back, credit to the support staff for getting it back so fast, didnt expect that honestly.

now, anyone that was on my friends list please add me back xD
 
good to have it back, some people just have the time to hack people's account

do you have your steam set up so that you have to basically register your pc via email any time a different computer attempts to acess you account, they email you a code that's only valid for a couple minutes you copy and paste it and it validates your computer.

I had my account stolen a year or so ago, got it back in about a day and a half, also ended up getting the phishing site shut down too, dunno what happened to the guy that actually tricked me BUT i had photo evidence and his steam ID. (after i got my account back i had kept him on my friends list couple months later he tried to steal it again that time i recorded it, collected the website he was doing to do so and turned him into valve, then deleted/blocked him on my friends list.

Whats funny is i trolled him too i went to the website and typed "your and idiot" as the name and "lawlsnotgonnahappen" as the pass word
 
Just make sure you have one of the game cases for one of the games on your steam. EASY
