An idea to help with spammers on vent

[Bleed.the.Fifth[DAM]]

few days ago Ventrilo was shut down for us =(e)='s thankfully for just a day or two, as i like being there... its really helped me get to know the people that we play with, and most of you all are hilarious to talk with. So thanks too whoever talked whoever into opening it back up for us =(e)='s.

I understand spammers are a pain so here is my suggestion, take down the Ventrilo address on the front page (it was posted a week or so before it was restricted for that short period), and put the info in all the restricted house forums with a password, maybe even a password that changes once a month or so. I brought this up on vent too some people earlier today and it was countered by someone saying "do you realize how many people read the stickies??!?!?! 2 people.. you and whoever just said they read the stickies"

that in itself seems to be a problem. Everyone should read the stickies. If your gonna read anything on this forum that should be it IMO. Anyway, this is just a suggestion even though its probably one that's been echo'ed before around here.

tis a good idea, but, I believe that the ventrilo should be for a community and include non-members. if there was a paging system within the site, like somewhere on the site here that when someone clicks it and writes down where they need help, it could post a red bulletin on the main page for admins, so they would know to check either the servers out, or vent.
