Upcoming Events

Just thought I'd throw an idea out there concerning event scheduling and hosting.
Considering the static (and relatively small) number of players in each game of Dota 2, would it make sense to have a sign-up thread of sorts for each Upcoming Event? Setting events up this way could make it easy for ECs and members to know if a scheduled event has the necessary participation to warrant taking the time to try and attend as well as making setting up the games on event night a breeze (could be handled earlier knowing how many you've got).
Even if we don't reach a full 10 members there are quite a few game modes out there built around smaller team sizes.
The main reason I bring this up though is because, according to the Upcoming Events thread there were two events scheduled over the weekend, but each time I was online at the appointed time there was nobody in Vent or on Steam who intended to host them.
I don't think there were enough members on at the time to sustain a match anyways, but I was just a bit disappointed as I hadn't been able to make an event for weeks and had been looking forward to them this weekend.

R - If we open a thread for each upcoming event to track sign-ups it would increase the visibility, participation levels, and planning of each event.
