Is a ct allowed to play the same games each time he gets warden?
A straightforward question...:P

I would wait for one of the jail advisors to respond to this, so I'm just going to say doing the same thing every round isn't very fun. I can't give you a direct answer to your question without the possibility of being wrong, just giving my opinion on the matter.

I'm not sure if it's allowed or not but I assume it's not recommended. Ts don't want to be stuck doing the same boring game over and over.

Yeah I dont think there is a rule for it but you dont want The T's to get Bored
you want them to have fun and enjoy There time in the server

I'm going to assume you're talking about several rounds.
Yes, you could do the same games every single round you get warden.

If you mean the same game in the same round then, No.

It is very unlikely someone will get warden multiple times in a row unless nobody else votes though

I know what you mean, ito.
I was in game as you did this.

It's not preferred as the maps have games Prisoner's should be playing, that's the point of it existing.

But I think if you're doing the same thing every single round and it is driving out our player base from the server, you need to be doing something different. Especially on our overnight hours when there's very little people on like last night. This is not a fact, just a personal opinion.

In addition to what Ric said,

Like Black Angel stated in game last night when this all was occuring:

It isn't necessarily a problem, but when it's causing a argument or players leaving due to how repetitive it is getting, like it had been going last night, perhaps it's best to switch your orders around, or perhaps take a break from wardening.

Note: I'm not getting after you with the above mentioned, just sharing a piece of advice. ;)

I still want a definite answer, its not like I wont the players to leave.

The way I see it, the jail server is a roleplaying game. That means you play a role. Some prisoners are pro rebellers, some guards like being nice. Yes the prisoners want to have fun, mostly at the expense of the guards.

So I want to play a role of a repressing warden. Yes it can seem boring but thats the point. I think that this promotes rebelling actually (and leniency of the guards, even some admins, ofc not naming any names, that refuse to follow wardens orders and kill the rebellers). It is not like I am immortal in the game. I think that I was killed in like a third of those games in which I was a mean warden.

Now think of how the rebellers feel when they rebel. How rewarding it is for them when they actually kill me. Some people may hate me, fine, its okay, its just a game.

Can I take Mikkels answer as definite one (him being the Admin Training Leader)? That I am allowed to play the same games each round I am warden (not the same game repeatedly in a round). The reason for asking this is that I was revoked from the ct just when I was about to leave and I dont wont that to happen again.

Well if you were revoked then there had to have been a different reason for it. Mikkel has the definite answer. You can't play the same game twice in the round, but you can play it if it is a new round

The admins felt that playing the same games each round was making people leave and thus disrupting the server activities. However that was not my intent and I feel like I didn't do anything wrong.

You didn't. I'm sorry that happened and that admin needs to be talked to. There is no rule against what you did

You really should mix it up even if its allowed that you do the same thing round after round. Many of these maps have tons of things to do and weren't made so Terrorists get stuck in cell block for 8 minutes. It's not fun and causing people to get upset and leave over it also isn't fun nor enjoyable.

These maps took hundreds of hours by various map makers, they intended you (the CTs) to use the maps and move the Terrorists around. This not only gives them something to do but also a chance to rebel as many Terrorists want to do.

Sitting in cell block playing games like Simon Says, Last Reaction, Spray contest, isn't fun after a while. To put it in perspective, how would you feel if you were a terrorist stuck in cell block round after round never getting to leave that area? Not happy I would imagine, just as the terrorists feel after a while being stuck in the cell block round after round.

Use the maps to their fullest potentials and even make up games in areas people wouldn't think of using. Being a good warden means you can keep the terrorists happy, use the maps to their fullest potentials, and keep the terrorists in order.

Here is your official answer (sorry it's late):

You may not play the same game more than once each round.

IF you are warden multiple times over several rounds, you may play the same games each round, it's entirely up to other CTs to chose if they would like to throw their hat into the ring, and up to the Ts if they want to keep you. If neither party wants to put you out, then so be it.

My vision of jail is to have it entirely player-driven. I do not want to dictate too much what games you can play, how much you can play them, etc. etc. IMO it takes out the fun that is (or was) jail.

I will say this though, people don't like it when you play the same games over and over again. We have a lot of "regulars" on the jail server and everyone tends to develop a reputation after a while of playing, keep that in mind when you are warden

So there you go, there is your answer. Please PM me if you have other questions regarding the jail server, I will be happy to answer them.

Thread closed.

P.S. to those whining to me to "do my job" throughout the day, please realize I am a person and do not have the time to monitor these forums constantly.
