Diablo 3

I'm through Act I and in a ways into Act II. I've only played about 8 hours with my Wizard. I'm slow going because I enjoy the journey and I'm just taking it all in.

Not surprised at the "shortness" of the game. I mean people beat Diablo II pretty quick when it came out. I'm still enjoying it.

Enjoyed the plot revelations at the end of Act I. That's all I'll say at this point.

Just put diablo down for the first time with a lvl 32 barb. Now on to nightmare!

Also Diablo 3 > my free time

Beat nightmare tonight with my group, got to level 50.

These elite mobs... Some of those combinations are so hard.

What happened to no spoilers? :crying:

Honestly looking at the achievements would tell you that Diablo was gonna die. And hell, every other game ended with you killing Diablo. He's the figgin name of the game!

In any case, 12hours 54min to beat normal, gonna have to try and map out a speed run route now.

lol that's true. I haven't looked at the achievements. I had guessed he might be the final boss...but don't tell me how or why because I'm not that far yet!

I'm through Act II and slightly into III. Too hot in MI tonight so no computer gaming for me. I REALLY enjoyed the end fight of Act II. That was sweet.

Great game. The story is what is winning me over. I still like II but I am enjoying III much more than I thought I would.

Meteor + Hydra = I'm having tons of fun with my Wizard!

I just finished act 1 on nightmare today. However I would leave in the beginning of act 2, once for lag issues, once for supper, and once for AH sales. Each time it forced me to start before the spider queen meaning I had to beet her and the Act1 final boss 4 times.... Finally I went and completed the first quest of act 2 and it fixed the issue....

I'm SLOWLY playing my way through Act 2 on Normal. Been busy with real life, but when I get to play, I'm such a completionist, going through the entire map before advancing to the next stage. That's probably a bad move by me, but for whatever reason, I can't help it and knowing there may be more loot that I missed keeps me looking for more.

Oh, and I'm level 20 right now.

Same exact deal here, although I hit 22 last night :P

Real life is unnecessary. Raptr says I have 24hours played in it, like a real man! (In-game time is a little less, this time includes the main menu screen)

I'm kinda done with it. I can't play with anything less than a 300ms connection because of where I live, and the idea of needing internet for a single player is honestly just offensive. Then today on my only day off, it's down for maintenance. I'm just gonna wait until Borderlands 2 comes out and i'll be playing that.

Not to say D3 is bad, it's just not got that same feel as D2 and it has the unholy connotations of DRM slapped all over it.

As much as I love this game I understand what you are saying, it's kinda a shame to not be able to play the game when you really want to.

That be said, I fixed that problem by looking at the art book whenever my connection is crap, and it usually fixes itself soon enough.

well, from what i read...let me just ask...what is the point of this game after you beat it 12-15 hours later? is there an mmo aspect type of thing where you can play something other than just the storyline, and grind for gear or something like that....or what

is this game basically only the single player or co-op storyline? whats the long term deal

yes that is what diablo is. a single player or co-op storyline. long term deal? randomly generated dungeons and grinding for gear.

then why in the hell does it require an internet connection, lol. oh well...im probably going to skip out on diablo 3 and go straight for tera as soon as i get my full internet connection back (july 1st)

Playing as more classes.
Beating the game on Inferno.
Beating the game as a Hardcore character.
Stuff like that.

This. It has the same draw that Diablo II did in many ways. It has changed a few things that I don't like but overall it's a decent game.

The internet connection requirement, well enough has been said about that. Not their best move. Honestly if I went back and did it again I wouldn't have bought the game as my way of not supporting that. Oh well. I didn't oppose it when other games did it so I guess no point in starting now.

So who finished Inferno already?

No... bugs, glitches, broken OPly builds , being fed act 4 inferno gear by ranged classes with broken OPly builds..... don't count :3
