Diablo 3

If there is a vent channel dedicated for D3 i will be there for sure! Im really looking forward and hoping that eGO will have some sort of division for this game.

Still don't see a vent room... even in strat... So, guess we can all just meet up in the general rooms at the top for the release

I'll be in the PSC rooms at launch if you guys want to play with me :)

Let's get something straight.

Ganking somebody because you don't like them is not PvP.

Pressing the hostile button because it makes you smile, giggle and feel big then killing people below your gear/level is not PvP.

I've done it and i was king of my region with my hammerdin and my lancer barb. It was fun for a time but it wasn't pvp and it wasn't fair for the people i killed and made angry.

Blizzard didn't dumb down this game pvp wise. They just made it more A-hole proof.

PvPers will get their arena pvp soon for more competitive pvp.

Casual players will not have to worry about getting ganked ever again.

Win-Win scenario for both parties.

Well said Sexy, i for one love this change that blizard made solely for the reasons you listed.

T-Minus 7.5 hours! ^_^

Blah, I went to update the game and ended up having to reinstall it, :(

So we can't expect there to be options in a modern game? A modern game backed by a massive budget with developers that have no excuse to exclude a core feature?

For those of us who like PvP and don't take a million years to level up, launching a game without one of the series' best features is just Blizzard shooting themselves in the foot.

We can't PvP at level one, but it's not going to take 99% of PvPers 'the first month or two' to reach levels where they can actively PvP, so it's going to be a boring launch waiting for PvP to actually get added.

I'm not saying that there isn't anything else to do in the game besides murder other players, but it just seems kind of silly that they'd dumb the launch down like that, knowing how many people want PvP to at least be part of the game at launch.
Just to note, Blizzard intentionally left PvP out so that they wouldn't have to delay the release of the game for another month, two or five just to get arena out. Sure most PvPers could probably say that they wouldn't mind waiting for a little bit longer after over a decade since D2, but you can't ignore PvEers just because you prefer PvP.

It's still amusing to hear you say that they "dumbed down" the launch. The PvP aspect of the game is maybe a tenth of the whole content of D3. Maybe even less. I do understand that we all are entitled to our opinion. Both of us are. As soon as the arena patch hits D3 X amount of months now, you wont even remember posting in this thread. You'll be merrily killing people.

how is hitting hostile not PvP? its player vs player. you don't seem to know the term PLAYER vs PLAYER, it doesn't have to be fair to be PvP. People cant take the fact that you could be killed at any time and should always watch out for others, they expect to meet friends and hold each others hands and making friendship bracelets while wondering around through hell.
You are going through (what is practically) hell, you think someone is not going to want you dead to get a good item? it adds another aspect to the game, don't trust people.
Blizzard dumbed down the game in general to make it better for casual players.

TL:DR blizzard made the game more casual friendly.

to jawneh:
they are releasing an incomplete game. A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY, releasing an unfinished game early cause they gave into peoples demands?
blizzard is a quality company, i have been able to play their greats (warcraft, diablo ect.) when they were still new. its disappointing to see a great company bow down to the people and release a work in progress.

BTW im not trying to start an argument, just a conversation :P

One of the thing that everyone must remember, is that they haven't really told us what end-game is going to be like, and none of you have played the entire game. They only kinda of mentioned Inferno mode and what it was, and Blizzard has a tendency to not tell all of the content they release, they leave it to be found. So everyone that's talking like they already have each class at level 60 with full gear, you REALLY don't know what you're talking about just for the simple reason of you haven't done it yet.

People are judging a game they have licked the side of (if you ever played it in Beta), but never really got into your mouth to chew, based on something they read on a website that is explaining something they aren't fully familiar with.

Get the game, play it, see what it's like. If you get to level 60 in 2 days and you can't live without doing PvP, go play WoW because that's all it is now. But if it takes you a little while to get to 60 (which I'm hoping it is harder than they made WoW, more like it was in the beginning where getting level cap was an accomplishment and not a weeks-worth of lunch break gaming), then play the game, enjoy it, and work on getting gear until they release PvP. I really doubt it will be very long before it's up and running.

That's just my 2 cents.

Lol I can't stop laughing... I'm sorry no I'm not going through hell. I'm simply playing a game with friends. I don't want to log in and have a guy 40 levels higher then me come find me and kill me over and over cause he has nothing better to do. You make it sound like oh they kill you and proceed through the game and hide in the shadows... No they camp your dead body and wont let you leave town and ruin the game... Don't make PvP sound like it's some real life aspect of saving the earth... It's a video game and people abused that in D2... They are fixing it in D3. The end.

The game is gonna suuuuuck, it seems like there are no skills and you cant really level up the skills so there are little combos that can be made. Seems more like "Oh here are 10 skills that you can pick 4 of, use tons of strategy to win". I do enjoy strategy but i enjoy lots of skills and unique combos.

I will shoot you with my water gun if you are not joking! :L

Well, with the rune system they have the same ability can be used 6-7 different ways depending on what runes you have. It completely changes a skill to do something different.

I do agree with you on the fact that it's very limited in terms of how many you're able to have at your disposal, but it also allows much more customization of the spells you do use depending on your situation.

I went out to Gamestop and picked it up at midnight but I went to bed when I got home. Just too old for this crazy stuff anymore. I'll play it a little later today when I have time.

Honestly, who cares about PvP? Never did any of it, it never mattered. Plus even if it is "Player versus Player" as you want to designate in your "conversation" the fact is you are describing online bullying more than anything. If I joined a game with you only to have you kill me "just because" you're not going to convince me that it's anything else. Just don't wear your eGO tags if that's how you're going to play.

I mean if that's what you want, then by all means enjoy it when it finally comes out. It's not my style. For me it's not about the loot but about the fun I'll have playing it with friends. My room-mate and I were still playing Diablo II last month. It's just one of those series that you can pick up and keep playing and have tons of fun.

PS, compared to D2 the customization is extremely streamlined. I think the game will suffer for it.
