It's not fair for you to say that the DDoS attacks by the mad kid did not have anything to do with the decline. That's EXACTLY why he was attacking in the first place.
Yeah it had some effect, but if you actually loved dust then you could have done more to maybe fill it up? You're hiding behind a fake name so I'm not going to assume anything. But if many people had liked it, it would have been full more
I searched over 5000 servers and couldn't find a comparable.Penguin, I didn't know Dust was in a situation where eGO was deciding to discontinue the map. Which I mentioned in my first post. If I had, I would have tried to do more - like I'm doing now.
I'm not hiding behind a fake name. I play on eGO servers as Nigerian Horseplay. Mostly Dust - some Dust2, Office, Italy. I've never used this forum until now and when I created the account I was thinking of how much I missed Dust when I chose my name.I searched over 5000 servers and couldn't find a comparable.
Also, Dust isn't a great map for 40 players. In my experience, 20 players (or fewer) is when it's the most fun. Strategically, the more players, the easier it becomes for CT to defend its already better position.
I dislike Dust, but I mean who knows maybe in a month it will be back on.
It was just a one sided map and if you weren't on the CT side it was definitely frustrating to even play on
Just so you know, de_dust is not as one sided as you think. Last time I played a team based game, I always found that working with my team really helps. I have seen the Ts win constantly over the CTs in 8 v 8, 10 v 10, ect. It's so possible. You just need to use teamwork, in a team based game, what a concept!
Dust is gone.. EOS. No need to call me out when I know how to work with a team. I used to play competitively, so don't preach to me.
