I have very fond memories of PS1 and I was really excited SOE was making another one... until I heard it was "pay 2 win"

Now I probably won't touch this with a 10 foot pole...

I would much rather they go back to the monthly subscription model, where everyone pays the same and you are rewarded by how much you played. Now, it's whoever is willing to pay the most will be the most rewarded.

I swear... the F2P model has got to be the worst thing to happen to video gaming...

Errr have you not been keeping up with dev news? They have said over and over that it is not "Pay to win" Everything that will be available to buy with real money will either be cosmetic or sidegrades.

Speaking of drool, I got my PCGamer signed by all the directors and coders behind Planetside 2 at SOE. also with some vanu stickers and t-shirts for being active in their community.

We'll see once the game comes out. If it truly is only cosmetic things, I will be all over this game.

Everything you can buy with real money, you can buy with in-game resources. Even if it was pay to win, you could play for a bit and use the resources you gathered just from racking up kills to buy them anyway.
