Wireless headset?

So those of you who know me, will be able to tell anyone who asks how long it takes me to break/ have to get a new headset. I have a receipt that i'm sure is as long a giants arm, from buying a new headset while trading in the old one, I swear GameStop employees think i'm crazy.

Anywho, I've been looking at wireless headsets, because i'm on a laptop.
I also don't use a desk when I game, which I probably should but whatever and the cord gets tangled. I've tried using the velcrow thing to tie it up blahblah, doesn't work.

With trying every turtle beach headset that's out there (That's all I was allowed to trade it for) none have lasted me longer then 2 months. I figured its time to find a not bad- wireless headset, any suggestions?

Also, price isn't an issue if it'll last.

My brother has this headset and it is great, if you have ever had the Logitech G35 it is basically the same.

Logitech g930 is the best wireless gaming headset for the money IMO. Great sound, nice features, good charge time (2 hours to max charge, 10 hours full use, or USB plugin to charge and play)

Don't touch a razer product, it's a lot of hype, for subpar, overpriced, products.

I have the wired version of the g930's (the g35's) and it's the best headset I've ever had =D. I've had them for about a year now with 0 problems. My friend also has the g930's and he loves them.

The g930's should be a good choice.

I just had to replace me headset, and I wish I'd had the money for a g35. I am a logitech fan for sure, I have a G9x, G25, x240, etc etc etc. I've used logitech for almost a decade at least, and they make some of the most reliable products I've ever used. The general concensus is go with the g930s. I wouldn't buy from newegg though, the extended warranties are crap. Amazon basically has the same inventory, or more, for the same price, or less. Squaretrade warranties are hasslefree, and worth getting. When my crappy razer lachesis went out, It took a few hours, and all I had to do was print off a shipping label, mail it in, and I got the full price of what I paid for that POS back, plus 15% more since I used an amazon giftcard.

From what I've found, Logitech replaces those headsets that have the issue, which stems from the mic. I wouldn't let one possible issue dissuade you though. Logitech has great support, and good included warranties if you have issues.

Thanks, and alright, i've already been through a headset that was craaaap with the buzzing in the background the turtle beach charlie, just don't wanna have to suffer again lol. ; I'll have to invest in the headset in the next few days hopefully the almost 200 bucks will be worth it.

I had to order a new headset myself today. My headset and mic all went in one weekend.. thanks to my brother's dog. I just went with a great headset for audio, and a zalman high gain clipon mic. I was using a logitech mic, which had extremely great quality.

Yes, there is a slight fuzzy sound, however it is only present when the microphone is unmuted. If you simply press the mute button or move the microphone up the microphone will be muted and the sound will disappear.

It is actually quite unnoticeable when playing a game - say CS:S. I really only notice it when I actually mute the mic, making the background noise more noticeable.

The buzz isn't really a problem, its not loud or anything, and it shouldn't discourage you from getting this fine headset.

Also spark, so if i'm in game I won't hear it, and if I mute it, its gone? I listen to music 24/7, i'm a youtube aholic, think i'll be able to hear it with that?

Definitely not. Unless he is describing a more major problem, which could be a problem with his headset. The only fuzz I can hear of is the microphone.

Yes, if you are in-game you won't notice it. Heck, if you were listening to silence you won't hear it. I leave my microphone on all the time on my computer, I never mute my microphone unless I'm on Skype.

I haven't gotten any complaints from my friends.

The microphone doesn't pick any of the sound coming from my headset, however it does pick up from outside noise, as when I am watching TV people always tell me they can hear it. It could be because my TV is right next to me and decently loud too.

Another Option

If you are not sold on Logitech then you could try Turtlebeach. Turtlebeach has many different models ranging at different prices. Just be careful when looking because they sell XBOX, PS, and PC headsets. Turtlebeach has done a great job of incorporating a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound into a headset. I personally converted my XBOX headset to work with my PC and have not regretted it. Take a look at this website and keep it mind some headset work with many systems so make sure you look carefully. If you see a headset that you may like, try going to best buy. Keep in mind you may be able to convert a PS3/XBOX only headset to work with your PC (YouTube is great for this).
