I've never used a skin and don't really know what it is. All i know is that like it changes what certain things look like. I just play the game how it is.

yes CS:S and DOD:S skin's have the same format as in folders and such.

you can do alot more then change what the weapons look like you also can download new weapon sound and even new victory songs ,and theres 100's of sprays you can also dl on the site i gave you can use the counter strike sprays also in dod.s you can change your HUD and even the flags,theres also sprites that change maps as in making them cloudy overcast and all.
