Headphones vs Speakers

I'd have to go with Headphones personally, I feel that the detailing in music is much easier to make out as well as the location of enemy players in games. Another plus is also the different sound signatures that headphones have, they all have their own unique sound to compliment different music genres.

So yeah, which do you prefer in general? And why?

I've always liked on the ear headphones. Doesn't feel like it blocks out everything else in the world. I can easily here if someone else is talking to me or something is happening.


Although i need to find a better pair, The pair i have keep breaking. I don't know why i still get the same pair..

I'm not a fan of headphones, I'd rather have canalphones. I used to get extremely bad migraines from the constant pressure of even small headphones. That being said, trying to use voice chat with speakers is just rude for those listening, so headphones is my vote.

I would use closed-back headphones, but I'm dirt poor, so I have to use earbuds. :3

Damn those are expensive.

I should probably get a good pair of closed-back headphones myself some time for when I'm out of the house, since they let out of a lot of sound. Plus you get a lot of stares outside since they look kind of unusual to other people who don't care much for headphones.
