This was a rather cool find. My parents just bought a rent house down the street from us. While we were cleaning it out, i went through one of the cabinets and found what blue believes is a Service Medal for WWII. Honestly i was hoping for something more astonishing to find but hey, its still pretty dang awesome.

I'll post pics of it later. Anyone else got some old Medals from wars that their grampa or uncle or whoever fought for? Any weird Finds like this?

My grandpa is Cuban but lived in the US in the 50's and went to the Korean War under the command of the American Army. He has medals :).

These 5 British medals were presented to my Dad's uncle, all for service during WWII.

Most of my grandpa's medals were stolen. We still have his WWII uniforms though. I should also add when I went through his files I found paper records of what he earned, which is better than nothing.

In my parents house there is a flag given to my great-grandfather when they liberated a town in France, I'm always in awe of what they did when I see it.

(I think the town was Mauberge, but I haven't been to my parents home for a while and that might be wrong)

Yeah my grandpa was in the Army Air Corps. He was a nose gunner in a B-24 and he has several medals. He has the Good Conduct, Malta Liberation, and a couple others that slip my mind right now.

My grandma still has my grandpa's Purple Heart medal from when he took a shot in the leg from a Japanese sniper on some island in the south Pacific.
