First encounter of EGO?s reputation outside of EGO

I don't often get comments on other servers about my tag, but sadly most of the time when I do it's negative. Not that it bothers me any, I just ignore it.

Wow! a whole week? I better come up with something good for next week then, lol.

As an O generally I've had many an occasion where players have looked down upon me while wearing my tags.
Before, when I was an E I would always wear my tags and I guess no one noticed it as much because after returning to servers I used to play on, I now receive all manner of disrespect.
I've even had people call me out over voice and get their friends to join in. It's not fun, so I'm glad you had a good experience rather that one like mine.

Solution: Play on eGO severs. It's what I do, and people don't tend to last long when telling me how bad Edge Gamers is.

Wow I am kinda shocked to hear all these horror stories of flame and hate against EGO members. A bit sad to hear that as this community has been nothing but fun and well mannered in what I have seen on the servers. I don’t see how anyone could hate the community as a whole, maybe certain individuals, but to just label someone over a clan tag as a certain type baffles my mind. I started this thread to hear awesome stories of the croup getting recognized outside of its servers but now it has me thinking maybe we need some good PR or something.

Most people don't care when i play non ego servers and they see my tags, but then again i don't ever really talk to chat when i play games either lol. I actually originality found this clan because of my old clan had several EGO regulars and we played on EGO occasionally too, i forget the name of my old clan though i just remeber eGo from an old CSS server, then like 2 years later i played blackmesa religiosly and joined xD

I don't take them off I wear them and feed the haters... I don't play on pub servers all that much, and I've never gotten too much hate on pub servers but I get a lot of hate on ADK servers, NwA seem fine but on ADK people has asked for me to be kicked called me names etc. I just keep sniping silently and don't get mad.

Dominating haters is the best you can do... not always possible but most of the time haters/trolls are not that good so no big deal.

I don't really like pub servers, got used to the absence of cussing so I get annoyed quickly. I only play outside eGO when I go get owned my nik or codo in MGE, sometimes following Human or playing a bit of turbine/2fort in MiT with impostr

Yeah. If somebody makes a big deal out of my tags, I don't say much, stay polite if I have to respond, and dominate their face off. Though I admit, sometimes it's annoying when people don't realize I have a name and just call me eggo.
