Dissolution of eGO Support for Star Wars: The Old Republic

For those of you who were unable to attend the Clan Wide Meeting this past Sunday, I regret to announce that eGO has officially ceased support for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

This is in no way a reflection of the time and effort many of our dedicated players have put into both the Republic and the Empire side guilds, but a reflection of the short comings of the game. All the latest and greatest games coming out combined with the server's death has caused many players, both in our guild and pubs, to stop playing, unsubscribe, whatever.

If you plan to continue to play, finding another guild to play with, rerolling on another server, whatever will not be frowned upon.

Please let your respected guild representatives (Seablade for Empire, Cerv for Republic) know if there is anything in the guild banks that you would like to have before we dissolve the guilds completely.

So on behalf of Granola Bar, Seablade and myself, thank you to everyone who dedicated themselves to eGO in swtor, both sides were able to accomplish much in the game and it's unfortunate that it should end this way.

Miss everyone. Hopefully we will be able to find a great game to play together (d3) Had a great time while it lasted
 
yeah not gunna lie guys, I had a BLAST playing star wars for the past 4 months. it really sucks that it ended, but i will see ya'll around!
 
It was fun, but I knew this day would come, but they are plenty of game we can still play together :P
 
is there anyway we can reinstate (sp) this mini-division after 1.3 comes out and there is a server change option? I have been wanting to play so bad, but the server has been completely empty and even the clan has been completely empty, so i quit playing cause it sucks playing alone in a mmo :D.
 
The outlook on the games health after 1.3 is not that bright. Most people i've talked to in-game seem to agree that partial server transfers (thats right, only some servers will be open for transfers) are not enough to revitalize the population, and that the game itself is to blame, while low server pops have only helped to bring in-game problems to light, rather than having caused them.

That being said there would need to be a large amount of people advocating for the "reinstatement" of this game for leadership to consider it, let alone do it.

Who knows, maybe when it goes Free-to-Play, things could change.
 
I personally could not care less if eGO reinstates SWTOR as a game or not..it was never about eGO tag but the people playing..and sadly i dont see the fun people like rapter seablade fusion hamms amongst others coming back so...

Server transfers will help a *I know I shouldn't swear on the eGO forums* ton on every department but rapter is right its only certain servers to certain servers.. the big issue will be deciding if a server is fine dead or semi dead lol we will see how BW does it

Interesting tho everyone.. and i do mean everyone keeps asking bout eGO Empire..aparently we were virtual rockstars on our server..if only we had the twillek strippers that usually come along with it

Interestingly, i played like a mad-man when the game came out. But I could never dedicate myself to the raid times due to work. It's been sad the past month or two when I'd log on at like 8:pm and there would be 2 people on.

I was que'd for PUGS and WZ's, but after 15 minutes, I'd bail and start leveling an alt.

This game, by far, has the BEST single player campaign and story out of ALL the MMO's I've ever played. But that is also it's Achilles heal: there was never a real drive for a community. I love so many aspects of this game.

But also, like many others, I wish for the WoW community I had for all those years. The ability to get a PUG BG or Dungeon was near instant with the cross realm ability.

They also ruined PvP at the 50 level for the casual, just like WoW did. When the bumped "expertise / resilience" to almost double, only those who played their one character could PvP properly. I don't play this game to grind.

Anyway, I am placing my subscription on hold. I think my account will lock after 1.3 though if it comes about in the next month or so. Maybe I'll pick it up again.

Then again, maybe I'll use my Scroll or Resurrection and go back to WoW . . .
 
Swagger, you don't consider Neero, Fintoso, or myself fun? ( I understand maybe me, I am really kinda stiff, but Fin and Neero?) It doesn't matter, we are still here and we can be found in the WZ's basically everynight, so if you want to step down from your "rockstar" stage and join us in the mosh pit, come on down. We will leave you bruised and happy!

I did say amongst others >.> lol but i was mostly talking bout those that have quit
Ofc i find you guys fun..fintodo i didnt get much of a chance to talk to but he seemed to enjoy himself in both win and losses wich is something alot of people could learn from lol
You are a funny guy..however you tend to joke bout stuff that is no laughing matter..like that time you used soccer to demonstrate a point..soccer is a very serious subject kind sir..
 
There wasn't any end game content to keep me interested :(.... Welp, back to Star Wars Galaxi- oh wait D: they shut down galaxies when ToR came out QQ. lol

I am open-minded and optimistic about the future, but at this time, this game isn't cutting it for eGO.
 
If they fix the game, I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

However I am skeptical of the games future. We'll see what happens..
 
grim and his randomness appear to be everywhere @_@ also seablade rejected me in the recruiting drive kinda upset still <--- needed to random comment to be cool like grim and i am gonna miss you swagger i know we didnt get to talk much but i thought you where a cool person maybe you'll play GW2 that would be nice
 
Alas I had to leave for a good bit and only play randomly b/c RL issues...was sad to see the breakup but understand (was on the other night and only 3 other players total on Hoth...yikes) hope to see some of you in BF and meet up again in other games when I get back from my year deployment. Peace out!
 
I keep seeing "the game is broken" and "If they fix the game I might come back." Personally I havent seen anything wrong with the game as is, now there are alot of complaints that I have because I want something my way, but every game is like that.

From what I saw, people left the game cause alot of friends or players couldent hack it leveling up new chars on another mmo. ALOT of people sheeped right back to wow, I even tried re checking out wow, going back, the game is terrible, lol. Graphics is bad, movement is wonky and blizzard will sell anyone, anything. There was alot of content removal in swtor from beta to retail, but alot of that was resolved when 1.2 came out.

I can guess that some people will come back to swtor once 1.3 comes out, with the addition of new content and server transfers, but not alot. It wont restore those who had trouble playing the game.

I highly doubt with 1.3 million people paying 15 dollars a month, that this game will go free to play and even if it does, that means very little content additions.

ON a side note, it was good playing with you gentlemen, I will still be in game, on the republic side. Charecters are taylana and treyana.

If you want to do dailies together or run something give me a ring.
 
I love PvE content in MMORPG's, I love progressing through challenging content with a group of people I can consider my friends.

However, PvP makes or breaks an mmo for me. As many problems as Ilum had, I had a blast running around ganking and getting ganked. Then they removed Ilum PvP, literally killing anything that resembled world PvP.

There is no incentive to PvP outside of Warzones aside from bragging rights, and that's not enough for me. If a PvP server has no world PvP, then why bother playing on one. They failed to implent ranked PvP when they had promised it 100% to the players.

If they fix these things, then I may consider subscribing again. Until then, It's ArmA, Diablo 3, and Tribes for me.

I won't tough WoW with a 10ft pole likely ever again. I quit after Cataclysm.

While I do agree the game may not be fit for eGO (and that's leaderships call)

This seems a bit of a high level over view, "if they fix things" What does that mean? (I'm not trying to call you out, I just would like to know.) While I do agree with your other game picks. (diablo III is amazing) The above post and the E3 Show of the game showed a release of new items/ game play.

I would like to pick your guys brains as to why it's not for eGO. (granted I missed a few months )
