My two cents on the Draven patch *revised

Revision*
1. Ahri was decently balanced, she didn't really need the nerf though. Sure, she does 'tons of damage' early game, but she has her counters.

2. Swain didn't need a buff. Again, he has his pros and cons. In my opinion, Swain and Ahri should have been just left alone.

3. Yes I have now been looking at Draven -- I made a mistake, he is pretty good, and really hard to play. I'm looking forward to playing him now, actually. I was just disappointed because Darius could just swipe in and get a quad or penta. I figured Riot would have made Draven the same, but obviously not!

4. Graves' nerf I guess was okay, I actually do admit that he does a lot of damage at close range. The nerf wasn't that bad anyway.

~~~~~~
What do you guys think?
Also, thanks for your replies!
1. They did not need to nerf Ahri. Ahri can be countered rather easily. The nerf to tanky Ahri was totally ridiculous and unnecessary.
2. How the hell can Riot think that Swain needs a buff! How?!?! Swain needs a major NERF. After I was constantly being dominated by Swain at mid, they decide to buff him even more.
3. Draven is going to be just like Darius, ridiculously over-powered. Darius' nerf wasn't nearly enough.
4. Graves is OP? Since when? No nerf was needed.
Overall, I think Riot is going insane. Or money hungry, as all they do is make overpowered champions so people can buy RP to get said champions. Believe me, I used to do that.
What do you guys think? Do you think this was a true balance, or a huge mistake?
In my opinion.. one of these days, they will nerf Evelynn... that day, I will laugh. Rather hysterically.
1.That's the result of people QQing too much, and funny thing is new Ahri skin is coming out
2.Yeah it's insane
3.Draven is VERY hard to control, I tried in PBE. In my opinion Draven is going to be the hardest AD ranged to play, but he does TONS of damage. He's harder to play than Vayne.
4.Graves is OP, I'm going to agree this one with Riot. He outlanes every single AD ranged(Of course you can't win Urgot since he is line bully) and also tankier than other AD ranged champs(Passive). I saw this nerf coming, but now if they nerf him anymore from now on then that's unnecessary
1. Ahri is my main, however, i still think they wont buff her too much. Although she is being nerf'd with base damage, she will have more ap scaling, which will compensate.
2. I don't get this one either. Swain is a total op champ, however, no one plays him. (thank God) Thinking about sending riot an e-mail asking "what are you doing"
3. They need to fix his ult. They even said, his ult is used to pick up quadra and penta kills, thanks riot for saying you have an op champ.
4. smokescreen nerf was not necessary. Graves not op.
Graves IS op.
That smokescreen nerf was coming, it effects a lot on a team fight
The problem with Ahri is her high damage from base amounts, rather than from building AP.
Swain's damage may be good, but as they said in the video he lacks the utility of some other mages, so he's getting a better slow and a lower ult CD - not that big of a deal.
The video said Darius' ult was designed to get a quadra or penta every 35ish games, which is not very often. Toning it down will certainly help.
What you all need to realize is that Riot has been doing this for a while now, and somehow the game hasn't gone down in flames. Before you rage off about a change to your favorite champion, try out the new patch. Recently they've been making verrrrrrry minor changes, rather than sweeping buffs and nerfs, so give it a chance. After all, they have jobs there for a reason.
So far, in most games that I'm facing darius, He walks out with a quadra EVERY teamfight because of that ult. Needs a Cool-down Reduction, not a flat refresh, every kill.
DFarius needs the nerf, draven probably will too, ahri is probably fine as is , reducing smoke screen on graves is fine and swane seems ok atm but a little buff could be ok.
In my opinion, none of your points made sense.
1. Necessary since she did so much damage early game
2. Just because you lose to Swain, does not mean he is OP. He needed the buff to his Q since it disappears immediately unless you are in melee range. I'm pretty sure people see him as strong only because they underestimate him. He will be a VERY strong mid now though.
3. Draven seems balanced in PBE imo but really fun :)
4. His smokescreen is way too valuable.
Swain doesn't need the buff. Also, his slow with snare combo? Unable to ever run away? I'm starting to see the possibilities if they buff it too much, it might a never ending chain of cc :O
Well well well, people fail to realise things.
1. yeah, she didn't need nerf, she needed buff
2. yeah, he didn't need buff, he needed nerf (notice how 1 and 2 are opposites?)
3. DARIUS'S ULT DOES NOT NEED NERF (it's fine the way it is after this patch, the grace period was rediculous) but it get's pentas and quadras ONLY if the enemy team is low enough and DOESN'T CC him, or focus him, Darius gets shut down with CC and can't do anything if killed, AKA, his ult is a LAST HIT, it's as OP as Karthus's ult when your team is low. again: DARIUS ISN'T OP IF YOUR TEAM KNOWS HOW TO KILL HIM, i've lost games as Darius because they focused me and shut me down. (the only nerf he MAY need is a nerf to his AD ratio a little bit, otherwise he's not OP).
Draven may be OP to you, but he seems so hard to play, it makes sense he would be strong.
4. Graves can be stronger than most AD champs, so i feel his smokescreen needed a nerf, and his buckshot was strong even when not using it at close ranged which it was intended for, so it makes sense!
Sorry I should have specified: I didn't mean that I wanted the opposite. I meant that Ahri and Swain were fairly balanced. They should not have been changed.
I revised my opinions, hopefully I have backed them up this time!
1) She needed a nerf. If you guys don't know the build they were talking about it was rush Abyssal Scepter then to a Rylias, then off to Zhoyna. This made her extremely tanky and still do lots of damage. She was either a pick or ban every game in tournaments.
2) Swain is weak at higher play and needed some good buffs. Not too much though, so we will see how it plays out.
3)Draven will be strong at release. He can force people not to CS at bot lane. Will probably see some nerfs.
4) Graves needed nerfs. He is in every game in high elo.
I agree with all this except Swain. The buff to the range of his autos and Q are going to make his harass in top really strong early game. Landing an E + Q into W is going to be that much easier now, taking away prediction and skill.
CLARIFICATION:
Swain's little "combo" is hitting an E onto the target so damage is increased, then landing a Q onto target so they're slowed thus making it easier to land W (his root). The increase of the range of his Q makes it slow for longer and makes it easier to land his root.
If you didn't know, his level 5 bird is getting the real buff, his lower levels will see little change. So taking the bird to 5 will take all your damage away. It's a buff towards later stages like mid-late.
Dude... I'm talking about the RANGE. They increased the RANGE of his Q so it has a longer tether now. I said absolutely NOTHING about the damage. Anybody maxing Q first and not E shouldn't be playing Swain.
25 Range does not change much until the slow actually slows. Thus maxing Q, which doesn't happen. This is a buff from mid-late. Also having ignite hard-counter swain is why he needs this buff. He is a weak mid and a mediocre top as he doesn't fill the bruiser late game. I was also implying his slow and stating if you max Q first you will get the better slow but lose in damage. Please read what i wrote instead of looking for key words.
