Legend of Korra Thread

Didn't expect Amon to be Tarrlok's brother. I really enjoyed the ending, how Aang showed up and returned her bending. I don't know what season 2 is going to be about since she knows all 4 elements and got in touch with her spiritual side now. I guess all its going to be is her becoming a fully-realized avatar.

I was happy with the ending. I would avoid the spoilers below me if you haven't seen it yet.

Like I mentioned in previous posts, I wouldn't find it fulfilling for the characters to get their bending back, but when Lin earthbended again, I gave in and settled for that ending.

Although Korra regaining her bending in like less than five minutes was a bit of an asspull in my opinion.

And I'm sad that it's over now and we gotta wait at least like some six months before season 2. Oh well ;_;

It makes sense because aang is able to energybend. Amon used bloodbending to block the energy in your body, making it impossible to bend, and the only way to have it reversed is to have a fully realized avatar undo it for you. It may seem like a cop out, but it makes perfect sence. Its kind of like that bood, "The Giver"

Also, god damn, how was the Boat scene allowed on nick? That was pretty dark. And Amon knew that Tarlok was going to do it. http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/334/877/44b.gif

so my friend Varil showed me these:

Oh man Nickelodeon is definitely trying to make it more teenage oriented, that ending haha so awesome.

The best way I can describe the ending is that it would have been perfect were it just a one season series, everything gets wrapped up nicely, Korra masters all elements and is able to restore everyone's bending, happily ever after. However, since there is going to be a season 2, I would have liked a bit of a cliff hanger, even if just the last minute, of a hint or look at the possible upcoming danger or story arc for the next season, something that gives a reason for the contiuation of the story of Korra.

Did Shadow actually say something relevant to the thread....

Anyway I agree with shadow about the ending and how if there is a season 2 why they did what they did.

The creators of TLOK said they were hoping to bring in 1 Villain each series, with 3 books. What you guy's need to understand is that with the ending like that we will have more time to explore the Avatar world, it will allow them to go into more detail's about character's. There is still more to come and I am sure a antagonist wont be hard to spot.

I am too confused of no cliff hanger. Though I'm glad because I would of punched the screen out.

Recently read that they had the story for Korra written and mostly animated before they knew they were going to get a season 2. I guess that explains it.

They probably didn't expect such a fan base because usually people hate sequels or deny to watch them because usually they suck.

That was the best finale out of any TV show I have ever watched in my lifetime.

Well I (finally) watched the finale of season 1.

Everything went pretty much as I expected to. Though it was still amazing.

Cannot wait for season 2.

Well, it looks like there will be 26 more episodes which means there will be 4 books.

If you guys do the math, the show was planned to be only 2 books and with 26 episodes only, but now with the additional episodes the whole series is set at 52 episodes all together.

However, the 2nd book is due to air in 2013 which is a long wait for us Avatar fans :\

Ok in a nutshell, amazing series some things I would LOVE to see.

-Zuko, he's still alive (I think) so why don't they show him!
-What is so special about republic city, I can't get a field for the rest of the world at all because they never go anywhere.
-What is wrong with Korra and the avatar state?
-find out what happened to sakka.

All in all I liked TLA better, however this was still great. Kind of a portal 1 compared to portal 2. 2nd is still amazing, first one was better though.

I was rather shocked when I saw this as a show, but was very pleased with it nonetheless.

The finale was pretty epic and really left me wanting more. Too bad that the show, like Spark mentioned, wont be coming out until 2013!

Btw, who else was a little confused trying to figure out Aman's true identity/powers?!
