Not trying to sound like a party pooper or anything, but if we can't get Mesa currently to fill, what exactly about Mesa 2 will make it worth joining?

A newer version wont bring people in, it'll start off just like Mesa did when we brought it back. I knew this would happen and I said it would too, no one wanted to believe me at the time but here it is.

Errr, as much as I love BM, you're right. BM2 will get noticed by lots of people(including myself), but after 2 weeks, I think it'll just die again, this makes me very ;(

I think that is about right. It's just a new toy or video game that a little kid gets and after a couple weeks when you have seen it all or "beaten" it they won't play it anymore.

I have been thinking about the Blackmesa predicament, and it occurred to me that perhaps this is because few actually know that Blackmesa came back. I was really sad when Blackmesa went down, and actually looked through the forums for a long time hoping that someone would post that it was going to come back. That post never came, and the only reason I found out that Blackmesa had returned was a screenshot from Mesa taken on one of my friend's profiles. It is obviously too late to do an announcement for Mesa now, but if they announce Blackmesa 2 on the front page or even divisional announcements, I feel that far more people would join the server, and it might have a chance.

Blackmesa itself is a really fun map, and I don't think that it is to blame for its downfall. First the confusing server move and then the temporary shutdown stopped people that had played on the server for years from joining, and they never got the news that it had returned. If we simply advertise it a little, I feel that Blackmesa 2 has a fighting chance of becoming one of our top servers again.

Blackmesa was one of the first maps I played on that made me join eGO, it was great back in the day. I would sometimes be waiting for 15 minutes for a spot to open up. It is sad that the server has just died really.

I personally don't like BM. Although, I think BM2 is an opportunity. If people start playing BM2, it's a chance to keep it going. Like after a heart stops, and a doctor shocks it back into working, then it continues to work. This is our chance, to resurrect the lost.

It was the Egypt server that first made me join 3 years ago, it tore me to see it died. Also, Harvest_Night was the first map I have ever played on, and Harvest is still my favourite.
