Hey, just wanted to say thanks for running some nice DoD:S servers. I used to play DoD way back when, then when DoD:S came out I spent several years in [BDS] (Beer Drinking Squad - if you play on servers with custom maps, you've almost certainly seen a few maps that came out of that clan). Eventually I moved on to mostly playing Gun Game on CS:S in PBR clan, as well as playing other games like COD4, BFBC2, TF2, etc. (as well as my now 6.5-year love affair with Eve Online - will definitely have to check out that section of the forums, since it looks like you guys are active there), but I've mostly played Gun Game the last few years.
I got the itch to play some classic DoD:S a few days ago, and stumbled into your Avalanche server. What a nice place! Full server, active admins, nice rules. Thinking I'll be spending some decent time on your servers in the future, especially Avalanche, Donner, and maybe a little Charlie now and then.
Anywho, just wanted to apologize for kinda-sorta getting off on the wrong foot. I got kicked (though not banned, thanks for that) for spray violation earlier tonight, which I can understand - my usual spray isn't exactly vulgar or offensive or anything, but I can understand how some might find it disturbing - hard to categorize, but I admit, probably not family-friendly. My bad. I got warned for it, and then 10 or 15min later, some people were talking about it, so I sprayed it again in a location nobody actually goes to / looks at, thinking it would be better than leaving it up in a spot where people would be forced to see it often. In retrospect, I should've left it and waited for the map change or else just disconnected and reconnected to activate my new spray, but anywho, a bit after re-spraying it I got the boot. No biggie, I understand, and I've got a nice family-friendly and funny spray now, so hopefully no more issues.
So yeah, thanks for the great servers, sorry for the spray, and looking forward to playing with you folks some more.
