Okay first off very few players switched from 1.6 when source came out. Yeah if you think our CSS division is big, you should see who still plays 1.6.
Its been what, since 2004 we've had CSS out and 1.6 is still SUPER popular. 8 years and its still not killed by CSS. So if so "very few" switched over from 1.6, that number will be EVEN less for GO.
Face it, the 1.6 fans HATED source when they saw it, imagine how they feel about GO...
There's a reason its only selling for $15. You know what other games sell for $15? Barbie dress up and Mahjong at elementary school book fairs.
In my opinion, GO feels like a mod for DOD:S. Kind of an inception, a Mod for a Mod that were both originally based on Mods. AHHH.
CS 1.6, even though it was originally a mod, was able to pass as its own game (a very good one at that). Source was a very appropriate "squeal", because it followed up without replacing 1.6. GO is nothing like the two. I'm not worried at all. However, since GO to me is its own compared to the previous two, it may become popular, but wont replace what it essentially isnt.
