Yes those were some good times for gaming, watching soldiers parachute down into my tesla coils

[Raul Tha Monk]

Never heard of it was it on the pc?

c&c red alert is still the best RTS game i've ever played without question. no joke.

I played C&C online as competitively as an AOL dialup connection would allow. I remember Westwood Studios having those monthly giveaways for the highest ranked players per faction. Highest ranking I got was in the top 25 for NOD, and someone found my screenname ranked as #2 in my State. That was wayyyy back around... 1998 I think. Still remains as one of my favorite games ever. I remember the Engineer early capture attack; NOD Bike swarm, and the blockade tactic.

Man, the first Warcraft: Orcs & Humans got me into the RTS; then I played this shortly after... music was waaaay better.

Was anyone else a fan of the video cutscenes from C&C and the Red Alert series? It was like the best B-movie acting for a video game to me.

C&C Red Alert was one of the first games I ever played multi player on the PC. My dad and I plugged our computers into opposite phone lines, dialed up and went at it. Oh man that was fun!

I loved the live action cutscenes. I wish more games did that like the C&C series and Jedi Knight series originally did.

the original warcraft was awesome too, tho warcraft 3 was the best! but still nothing beat C&C, just being able to play those scrims was pure awesome. i still remember my favourite map, tho i can't find a pic of it.

my favourite strat was a quick rush while i just built massive amounts of yak planes to strafe kill everything with. go kill anything you want in one pass with like 20 of these suckers. epic

i played a little bit of Red Alert then i stopped (don't ask why, plus the game wasn't mine). (i love playing both RA2 and Yuri's Revenage.)
