Alright, so since I have been gone a lot of things/people/ leadership has changed.

I figured I'd introduce myself, and maybe perhaps you guys can do the same.

Heck if DOD can post weird pictures of themselves we can do something eh?

To get started.

  • I joined eGO in the summer of 2009 in the CS:S division
  • Ill legend field promoted me to eG (he was a division leader at the time)
  • I worked in the Recruiters division (now PSC)
  • On Christmas of that year I was promoted to eGO for the recruiters and CS:S

In January 2010 I was asked by Gen-ig, Caffeine Rx, and USCG Hammer to help out the INS division. I joined and after five months of admin training, event coordinating, and recruiting I was promoted to advisor.

During my time as advisor I trained DigitalDJ when he was an eG. (he grew up fast lol), and watched Yeti become an advisor. Yeti and myself tagged teamed for months together to help the INS division/ MOD division grow and develop. DJ was promoted to advisor with us, and us three and a few other leadership from FPS:X had a hostile take over of the TF2 division (it was on the fritz then, and it wasn't really a hostile they gave in willingly :P)
Once TF2 was running on all cylinders again we left, and focused on FPS:X and its transfer to OP:X.

During that time in the summer of 2011 when everything was going great, I left eGO to join another clan. Oh snap! What a moron! (your thinking) and you guys are right I wasn't thinking... After a few months a lot of things changed in my life and my thought process. After talking with DJ, Hammer, and Ill legend I joined eGO once again, and now I'm back.

I may have left some people out. If I did I apologize.

So, now that you know about me. Who are you guys?

:tear: I remember when I was an e, time flies lol.

Hi their my name is Dutchoper72 (Predator quote) and i am fairly new to OP:X.

I started in eGO as an e in the TF2 Division back in 2009. I played a lot of dods and I think within either a month or two I was promoted to eG by JohnT when he was on a promotathon in ava. A bit after that I left TF2 because most of the admins back them seemed to have the cheese on their cracker fall off along time ago and just made me want to leave eGO. After I moved to dods that is where i stayed a big part of the time. My favorite map was Flash with the old crew their. I also supported dods Realism by only missing 2 realisms and that is up to this date.

I spent two years in dods and then sadly I left because of some major issues I have that revolved around the "The Last Stand Of Flash" that kinda made me hate dods and its people. Now I am here and its what I need. A nice small group of people and more then one game supported in a single division. I don't see myself leaving for any other division.

Well that is who I am....urm well besides a crazy kid who uses his mic and bad typing skills way to much. :D

Hey there, my name is Zosimos!
I just transferred from the TF2 division for Dota 2 thinking I might be able to use my EC experience to help out there and hopefully see it become a popular part of OP:X, maybe even it's own division. :P

I originally joined eGO in '08 under the name of Cold3dge. CS:S was where I started out and this story truly begins, and ends sadly.
Jail was the main reason I joined, I never was good at actually playing CS:S, dabbled in DoD:S too that was fun for awhile. Shortly after I made a mistake of repeating a spray that I found funny, and was banned.
Me being an immature 15 year old didn't help either. After I was banned I just up and left eGO like it was nothing, went off to school and never really had an interest in coming back. Until about 7 months ago when TF2's own recruiting machine Borokov recruited me back in, I rejoined under the name of Cold and my journey began again.

Fast forward a bit, Vudu one day pm's me on steam and says "Congrats on your G." or something along those lines. Fast forward again, I'm still just some unknown G until I decided to start using vent some more. After awhile Razor and some other members of Leadership pull me into their channel and congratulate me on my O, doing their usual routine, teasing and what not. Shortly after I joined the EC's, that was by far the best choice I had made in eGO. I worked my way through being an EC 2 to finally earn my EC 1 and RCON access (Server commands access basically.) I wasn't quite ready for that kind of power though, what with me playing Dota 2 so much. But even with that access, I still gave it up to join OP:X and the Dota 2 team.

So here I am, in a brand new world. This'll be fun. ;)

Nice to meet you guys! come on there can't only be 4 other people in the division besides me.

I'm going to be nice and keep it short!

* Joined in May 2010 after finding eGO on Insurgency.
* Within 10 months I got my O after some mistakes :'D
* I was here when the original Leadership was here :).
* In either early or really late 2011 I left for a while (hiatus) for about 2-3 months. I still logged in though, but didn't become active as I use to.
* Joined back after switching to the CSS Division and applying to PSC. It was a new challenge for me and I enjoy it very much.

Now to give the long story I guess.

I joined eGO after playing with you guys in the old Insurgency servers, more preferably the Dust 2 server. I showed off my 1337 skills and you guys begged me to join! Just kidding, I joined on my free will. I never got on vent or really active until maybe 5-10 days into joining and thats when I met Red (not sure if any of you remember him), but he was the main reason I even got active. I remember the events he made, they were great. Then I got involved with leadership by talking to them every now and then and by owning them in-game :). I was probably most noticeable either in-game from 1337ness or out of game in the forums by posting so many ban request for hackers. Pretty much all I have to say. I do miss the old days though.

Name: OP:X Forum Elite
Awarded for consistent participation in the OP:X Divisional forums
Issue time: 05-04-2011 04:19 PM
Issue reason: For consistent participation in the forums, mainly the ban section, thank you

And yes I just made an intro! I'm originally from here so I feel like posting this here :).

Joined in August '09 after meeting HL2master on INS. Was pretty inactive, but was promoted to eG in December '10 (I think), and then eGO in mid '11. Whilst an eG, I was pretty active within PSC. I then left in Janurary this year, and rejoined after being SO bored. I remember some of the original leadership, some of which are still about somewhere. I've seen a few guys come and go. After my short hiatus, some guys left, it'd be nice to know what happened to some of them.

From eGO, I met some guys who I went on to develop games with (short stint with Team Redeployment and 4 Corner Interactive working on Insurgency: Redeployment (a sequel), and from there, into graphics work and project management with Machinima Realm on Youtube.

I'm now at college, studying economics, maths, law and computing.

I'm also from leafy Surrey.

Well I joined in 2010, after being a pub for a year on a different account for DoD:S which was hacked and I have not been able to recover since /: After about a few months I joined CS:S as an e. I saw a lot of the current eGO leadership turn into the leadership you see today, psc, bf3, CS:S.

I played a lot on the CS:S Jail server, and then I transferred over to Strat for that minecraft "boom." Transferred back over to CS:S got my eG on a field promotion by Iamevilbear. Got my O off a promotion list... I think xD Then I left, when to OPX for APB which flopped and then I went back to CS:S. I then became an EC, and helped to host events and trained a few EC's that they had. Then I left eGO, came back to CS:S and then a little less than a month ago went back to OPX for Arma2.

So yup there's my story condensed up.
One year thread @_@

I joined the INS Division of eGO on June 21st, 2010 under the name of -LT-. PSC had me change my name because of a letter to symbol ratio thing. I was recruited by Colonel Chimps, Sgt. Stupid and Gunney. At this point I would hardly come into vent.

8/3/2010 I was promoted to eG and started to recruit and come into vent a bit more.

9/2/2010 I was promoted to eGO and was offered a position of either EC or Basic Admin Trainer, I choose BAT. I continued to recruit at this time.

11/3/2010 I was offered an Advisor position for recruiting, I accepted and started helping IceGladiator with that task. At that time the leadership consisted of Hammer as council, Jedihitman and Caffeine-RX as DL's and Burt, Yeti, Ice, EpicFail, RTDriver and DrunkenFetus as advisors.

End of that month some of INS leadership were instated over into TF2 as leadership to help fix the division. I went over briefly to recruit for them as well. Shortly after I was bumped up to head recruiting advisor for Mod/FPSX.

The division under went some drastic changes in leadership and goal of the division itself. Zeak(DK) was brought up as an advisor during this time as well.

Shortly after, some specific members of leadership had left and we were short 2 DL's and some advisors. I was offered the DL position on 8/26/2011. I made some drastic changes to the division which included dropping support of INS completely and moving into newer games.

Once I got to DL I then promoted Albertfish to advisor for recruiting to take my spot.

months go by, Hammer is deployed every 2 months and we lacked Council support during those times, I wasn't able to make decisions I needed to make without him so I sat down with him and we came to the conclusion that Op:X could use a Co-Council when he is deployed.

And here we are, I am Op:X Council, Yeti and Granola Bar are the DL's and we have an all-star Advisor lineup of Albertfish, Cerv, Seablade, Slazenger, Stormy, vudu and Zeak(DK).

  • Joined eGO on 6/21/2010
  • eG on 8/3/2010
  • eGO on 9/2/2010
  • Advisor on 11/3/2010
  • DL on 8/26/2011
  • Council on 3/9/2012

FINE! Gonna do this correctly.

  • Joined INS in June 2009 after being recruited by "something" Dingo
  • Promoted to G the following month
  • Promoted to O in January 2010
  • Was around when Gen-IG was DL and when Caffeine had that hillarious signature that everyone thought was him
  • Been supporting INS till we lost the server.
  • Was forcefully made to change his INS tag to Op:x...

After that, kinda ended up playing a lot of PR (Project Reality) and lead most of the squads we had together then. At times we had upwards of 12 eGO members playing on one sever at a time! This included Extremelymildhotsauce, Panzer, Burt_Reynolds, Sinx, Bloodybunny, Zeak and many more. Though our hopes of a server were crushed when the Dev's refused our server licence.

Ultimately, real life events took over (exams etc) and I ended up cutting most of my gaming time until we began to support ArmA, which I tried to allocate a few hours a week to playing. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest games we have taken up (Star Wars doesn't count...).

Though again, college took over my life which just this month I have finally finished!

Time for a summer of gaming before University :D

  • Joined INS Division March 25, 2009
  • Earned eG in INS Division April 29, 2009
  • Earned eGO in INS Division August 3, 2009
  • Join the INS leadership team sometime in the summer of 2010
  • Accepted Co-Editor-in-Chief for the front-page news team spring 2012
  • Accepted DL for INS leadership team March 01, 2012

I had played on various eGO servers since 2008, and was recruited by Jedihitman (an O at the time) into the INS division. From what I remember, the divisions each had their own recruiting form and application at the time (thanks PSC for unifying this process!) By the way, TheBigHerm was the DL at the time that I joined. Holla! (Bee tee dubs, he currently runs a very fun realism ArmA unit.)

I was promoted to eG during the first INS event that I attended which just so happened to be the first INS scrim that eGO participated in. The match was against [USMC] on ins_baghdad. This was by far the best scrim that I ever participated in across all games. It was an intense 16v16 and if memory serves me correctly, we won....well, I won. My 15 fellow eGO teammates rage quit (not because USMC were killing them, but because I was too pro), and I proceeded to win 16vYeti.

Around this time, PIMPDADDYSMURF and I formed a rivalry on the FFON server. We kept passing one another on ranks until the server was finally restructured into the BAR server. My best times on there were when Pimp and I would play ins_Buhriz and grab the two RPG slots just to see who could get more kills each round.

The summer of 09, INS division hosted the first, and final "Dust Bowl." It was a dog tag bracket tournament that was used to promote the de_dust2 port to INS. As G's, fathobo and I led our team to victory. We also set the eGO record for cap-out on dust2 in <40 seconds. Take that Os!

My eGO promotion sealed the rest of the interesting moments for me in the INS Division for 09.

In the Spring of 2010 the INS game had lost a lot of its steam, and the INS Division members were beginning to lose interest. As summer rolled around Resistance and Liberation mod was released which offered a lot of fun WWII game play in an INS style. Hardstyle4life & I helped organize and generate interest for the game with-in eGO. BurtReynolds joined us and helped by running events on a server run out of his kitchen! Just before I left to travel for the summer, USCGHammer, and CaffeineRX interviewed Burt & I for advisor positions. I informed them that I would be away all summer, and could not accept the position. BurtReynolds became the INS advisor, and I took an advisor position that July. Over the summer, eGO had opened an RnL server which was lackluster at best. Without official steam support, the game received little-to-no attention.

Skipping over some of the details, INS became MOD out of necessity to branch out (or risk closure.) MOD was doomed from the start and became FPS:X. FPS:X didn't offer a broad enough range of games for the division to branch out into, and thusly, OP:X was born. The division has been plagued with poorly developed/released games (Crysis 2 & Brink to name a couple.) However, the long-timers and dedicated newcomers create a very unique and diverse division.

During the winter of 2011 USCGHammer interviewed me for a DL position to help SgtBeavis and DigitalDJ, but I was moving, and wasn't sure what my availability would be like for some time. I accepted the DL position the Spring of 2012.

Currently, I am looking to transform the division into a larger community by experimenting with upcoming PC games. My goal is to be competitive with other eGO divisions in terms of recruiting, and to find homes for suitable games within eGO.

Long story short, I've worn 4 different divisional tags in 3 years, but I've never switched divisions. Red & black, through and through.

lets see i joined the css division [i know ewww] on 12/17/2009 because ego was the only community or clan that had a good zombie mod server for css i played on the zombie server for about a year before mudkipz convinced me to join i stayed in the css division playing in the zombie server until it was brutally murdered by making weird changes like zombie classes making a lot of great friends along the way after the demise of our zombie server i started hanging around in the jail server had some good times there after spending a year in the css division and feeling like my time was being wasted i started playing ins and killing floor and switched to the fps:x division both those games were dropped not too long afterwards so i went back to css and sort of just hung around it was at this point that i felt like quitting ego because most of the friends id made in css had either been banned or left ego for other clans and it just wasnt the same i just sort of hopped around from game to game for a while i went to the strat division and made friends with a bunch of members there then i got into arma 2 and op:x became my home division on halloween of 2011 i got my eg i used my admin a grand total of 1 time to kick a troll while playing jail in the 6 months before i was promoted to ego on april 1st 2012 [i still have yet to use any admin stuff since my promo] nowadays i can usually be found playing arma2 ro2 world of tanks and occasionally starcraft2 or minecraft

So, if you've made it through that wall of capital/punctuation-less text, and still have eyeballs, I salute you. I mean, I'm actually physically ill while typing it [though to be fair I did eat some tacos earlier that I'm having some trouble keeping down]

I joined eGO on August 12th, 2011 in the strat division, however, I found eGO through Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I joined in strat because my BF Soldier name was "TheCerv" and at the time, PSC required forum names to be the same as in game names, and it just happened to be that my Starcraft 2 name was Cerv.

Shortly after swtor came out in December I picked it up and started playing with eGO. In the weeks following I switched divisions from Strat to Op: X on January 20th (one day after my birthday :D)

As swtor was a new game and we had picked it up from launch, I was given the role of recruiting officer and made my way through the ranks eventually to eGO.

Again due to necessity I was promoted to Advisor for swtor until it's recent downfall which caused us to drop the game all together.

Now Seablade and myself have moved on to look after Tribes! although ArmA2 and it's mods have been whoopin my butt the past week or two..

I joined INS back in May of 09 got my G 6 months later my O a month after that. Another 6 months down the road I became an Advisor, became a DL on (Checks DigitalDJ's post) 8/26/12 and stepped down back to an O in February. Ever since I have been away and checking up on you guys every now and again. :P
