Defeat and Loss prevented

Can i know what's the difference between "Defeat" and "Loss prevented"
And why do i have Loss prevented instead of Defeat?
It's my first time seeing Lose prevented xD

I just read it was the fact that you lose but there's no effect on your elo since it's because of patchs (crash)

Yeah that's basically it. Loss prevented just means even though you lost, it won't count as a loss.

Happens when there are issues with the server that affect player's gameplay and they turn on compensation mode (Loss prevented)
