Scam alert

There is a website out there that looks just like steam and has a near matching html. This website was given to me by one of my steam friends. It said it would give me a free game upon steam login. So stupid me loged in over the website. I then lost my steam account and email. I just recently got my email back. If you are sent a link to free games and the website looks just like steam then DO NOT do anything. DO NOT repeat my mistakes, i know learned that this scam has been going around a lot and steam is doing its best to stop it.

If you receive any chat from anyone sending you to a site claiming to give free games, its probably best to just ignore it. Its usually(always) a phishing site that is there just to try and get your login/password so they can jack your account, and then use your account to attempt to do it to more people.

Glad to know you got your account back though, you might want to look into steamguard.
