AT&T Being Hacked

My dad tried to login today and he got hacked by trying to pay the U-VERSE bill. Be careful and if the domain or web address has .EUROPE in it DO NOT LOGIN. It seems to be coming directly from the WEBSITE itself and the hackers, of course, are from Europe.

AT&T people said it was because our Internet itself was hacked and did a scan that said there were 785 trojans on the network. (Could be a lie to pay 280$ for removal) Unknown though. They said they were hacked Sunday, but our network has been infected for a while. So, unclear if it's actually wide spread. The hackers themselves due seem to come from Europe though.

Don't pay 280 for that, if you need help getting rid of malware, there are tons of threads here on how to do it for free.

As a related note, you should ALWAYS verify the URL of any website you submit personal information to. Never just trust you typed, goggled, or even bookmarked the correct URL.

if the link has a padlock or a small logo next to it then its most likely safe, but if it doesn't you should show great caution as the site may have redicted you to a domain with a source code copy of the original website

if you suspect you have been compromized, call your bank immediatly and ask them to
fix your account so no further transaction can be made

id also reccomend you scan your computer to check for keyloggers/malware

Basically, everything's already been said....Successful phish was successful...go remove that maleware yourself.... stop browsing sites on that computer/downloading illegal files that could cause this

I think it was something my dad downloaded on his own computer. Something for updating or cleaning stuff out like CCleaner? Anyways, it got cleaned out and seems like everything is good. They said there were 10 people using his computer at the same time on our network. Hopefully it was just his computer affected. I haven't noticed anything suspicious, but my mom has on her email.
