Intel or AMD?

I was told and from experience that the Intel processors are way better for gaming and AMD was better for tasks of the business sort.

I would go with AMD but their CPUs are way too hot...

AMD's too stubborn to be kicked out of the market. Intel's Dual and Quad cores are, in most cases, faster than AMD's.

its funny the percentages are about the same as their cpu market shares

i like amd better mainly for their contributions to open source

Honestly, it depends on what year/issue you're talking about, but currently Intel has the best processors performance wise. As for a performance/cost analysis, AMD processors will beat out Intel processors all the time.

intel is currently a powerhouse contender, howerver you cannot rule out AMD just yet they could make a comeback.

yea. dusty said it. the market is constantly changing. atm intel is the best bang for your buck.
