Actually this build is for my church. I volunteer my time in the kids area of my church & have noticed that the machine runs real slow. Did some investigation & noticed that it runs on a P4 cpu w/ 1gb of ram in it (im thinking its either sdram or ddr, but dont really care) & runs on Win XP. The only thing that I can really think of that hinders it is the memory, but im sure that the church would much rather spend the $$ to replace the machine & get something more modern since all other areas have rather new desktops. So for a good portion of today, ive been researching a possible build to replace the machine. Absolutely no gaming will be happening on this machine (its more of a media machine to pull up images, kind of like a slideshow/ powerpoint kind of idea). This is where I need suggestions. So far the only thing hindering me is the power supply. Should I go for a 400w power supply or should I go less than 300w? I already got the cpu, memory & mobo. The case wont be an issue at all. Hard drive, on the other hand, will be a rather bit of a bugger. Please let me know what you think about this. Also feel free to ask any questions you may have.
