As has been said, the games themselves are not banned, they are just banned from being played in cell block, so no, this is not like banning race from being played on canyon. This gives Ts the chance to rebel if they do not like playing games, and if they do like playing games, its just doing it in a different area.
It actually is just like banning Race on Canyon. I will now compare Canyon's race and cell block games.
- Both are overplayed
- Both offer no chance of rebellion (your only chance in race is hiding in the entrance and running kamakazie at the first gaurd to come near, which is the same as hiding in cells, since both are often checked and cleared)
- Both are non creative (this only goes for cell block games that are known and overused)
- Both are area specific. I am talking about the map built race for this one. You cant play the maps race anywhere else besides where its at. You can however, be creative and create your own race course. Which if the race area in Canyon was banned, this would be the only option, just as moving cell block games out of cell block would be the only option if cell block was banned for games.

This would make a good compromise if people cannot support playing games outside of cellblock only, but it doesn't change the fact that games played in cell block are almost impossible to actually rebel against, which leaves only non rebels satisfied with the change.
Ahh but the goal of the warden is to keep control, stop rebellion, and end up with an LR. I can see your view, as the rebeler, and your dislike of games and areas that aren't in your favor. I can understand the concern of cell block only days, and that's what my time restraint helps fix. However, I find a single game in cell block is a safe and easy way to get RID of the rebelers

And being a warden that likes to keep things under control, you baddies are baddies, and will parish!
But you state your opinions against cell block games because they are impossible to rebel against. I state this:
Being put in the solitary of Station is impossible to rebel against
You could pick out many locations around any map that make it impossible to rebel against, but banning every corner away from doors would not solve anything. But that comparison sir is invalid. FEEL THE WRATH! :chair: haha

Rather do race than sit in cell block all round... Usually people tend to use more of the map when they know it exists. I know many wardens that play on a map like Maximum Redux and go "There's an upstairs race?" because all the do is stuff in cell block, the couch room or outside. Is every warden like this, no. But its the hopes of trying to get them to do new things instead of the same games requiring little effort of being a guard or warden.
"Sit in cell block all round"
Check out the suggested time limit of cell block games! Problem solved!

Narnia doesn't use kill command. But I see where your going with that :thumbup1:

Restricting by a time isn't a good way because it may take wardens a certain time to get the prisoners to the grate, wall, etc. If the guards having mic problems or lagging for a bit this also eats up that time. We usually don't care if people create new games (Like Veridian did with his game) as long as its fair and doesn't break the rules. People can come up with games on the spot or use games they've seen as I have witnessed. No ones stopping them from being creative.
Well if it really takes a warden THAT long to get prisoners to a grate or wall, the warden is DEAD MEAT, and has a lot of excuses for delaying so long .
If you are lagging for a long enough time to affect the round (as many players see happen to me all the time...dang comcast) you probably should pass the warden, and in that time of what I presume to be no orders due to lag (since if the orders were placed before lag, game would keep moving as players are moving to ordered location) the smart Ts would already be surrounding you and your CTs with guns and knifes because they rebelled. Lag wont be fixed by restricting cell block games. And hey, if I lag during a freeday, I dont get a time extension either, it must end at 2:00
If your a warden and are having mic problems, you should pass your warden. Can't warden without a mic, so you shouldn't be warden in the first place.
I know we dont care if players create new games that follow the rules, thats why I suggested the sticky as a place to keep these new games for others to see. Not everyone is on 24/7 to see EVERY NEW GAME TO APPEAR. That's crazy talk. And the reason I suggested it be closed and leadership accessed only is to keep the trolls out and "non eGO" friendly games out too. That way all wardens can be sure a game selected from this list is approved and not controversial. I've asked leadership on numerous occasions if a game I create is allowed. I feel you missed my point. I just want to compile everyone's great ideas. Didn't figure there'd be a problem with that. If you want me to take control of this proposed list just let me know and everyone can PM me their ideas and I'll add them. I just find this would be handy. We offer a rulebook, why not offer a gamebook!
But again we are not banning the games... We are just stating they should be moved thus allowing people to rebel as mentioned above by RDK
See my above response to RDK's post. Sure you can't rebel..easily..but the Wardens doing his/her job, keeping rebelling down. Rebeling isn't a rule of jail, but it is a good fundamental idea. You cant go and complain because good wardens are doing their job. That's like me saying "we should ban vents because as a warden I have no way of controlling the Ts"
Ts must rebel
Wardens must keep them from doing that (and Cts)
I'm not trying to be fully Ct sided here, I love rebeling myself. But I don't find your point to make sense. And really, it is possible to rebel in cell block games. We give you guns, vent cells, and hiding spots. Texan finds a way to leave cell block games "miraculously" and shoot down CTs, why can't you?
I feel I must go back to my hatred of corners. I can't rebel there either! Let's stop nitpicking shal we? If there's a want, there's a way. And remember, banning cell block games puts you THAT much farther from vent cells. Oh how I love sneaking into vents after a cell block games is over and all Ts are moving. I would miss that
That's enough typing for now, great discussion we have going on. A+ to Rouges effort to discuss almost every point made. This I like to see!
