So I've accepted a new job in Toronto and will be moving my family (TVicious & Baby) there in just over a month. I'll be on as much as possible but will be out of pocket in August until I can get everything straitened out up there.

Anyone live near Toronto? How is my PING gonna be considering I was in Baltimore, Maryland? Anyone have recommendations on service providers?

Thanks,

Shaw! Shaw! Shaw! Shaw! Shaw! Shaw!

Toronto isn't that far off from Winnipeg and my pings are fine on eGO.

Welcome to Canada Blixx!

I live very close to Toronto and my ping is low most of the time.

Enjoy the move, just a bit of advice dont make a habit out of moving. it can be very stressful. I have moved house over 22 times, phew and the money it cost, over $4000 every time.

I live just out of the city proper and your pings will be fine and go with Bell, Rogers, Eastlink or w/e they will all be fast in the t dot

Wouldn't be suprised if your pings were actually better..but yeah from a networking side I'd vote shaw too :P

I live in Toronto... You can't get Shaw here. (only in Western Canada) and Eastlink is only in Eastern Ontario.

I would recommend "Teksavvy" (www.teksavvy.com) cable internet. Much better than Rogers who throttle your connections and costs more. And you get a 300 gig bandwidth limit/month as oppose to Rogers 80 gigs?

and bagged Milk is awesome! Also enjoy Tim Hortons :)

Oh, that's a good city. I've been to Toronto once, and I loved it; too englishy, which is a lot different than Montreal.

As for your ping/internet. You can use Bell, Rogers, or Videotron(Which is what use and I don't have any complaints!)

Just reading that makes me hungry for an ice cap or a small french vanilla...:D
