Solar Flare?

I am just curious how many people think the X1.4 solar flare/ejection is going to hit us and if yes how do you think it will affect the world?

Now, for those of you who have no idea what im talking about the X stands for extreme on the rating scale. Prior to that you have 2 other categories: Common and Moderate. I don't know exactly how high the scales goes in numeric form but anything extreme has potential to hit us. Scientists are currently saying it is headed directly at us. Please let me know what you think.
 
It shouldn't have much of an effect on Earth itself. Maybe some satellites and such. Not a big science nerd, but that's my input.
 
Our magnetic field should still be strong enough even though it is disintegrating it should still have enough power to push away the solar flare from our planet.
 
I surely hope your right. If it were to hit us I would hope that it doesnt emp us. that would be terrible...
 
Anywhere you can see the Northern Lights should be awesome when it hits.

Anyway, seems kewl, hope nothing bad happens.
 
Maybe there will be just enough radiation that gets through to mutate a select few with super powers.

Man I hope I'm one of them, then I will have an excuse to wear tights all day.

Wonder if there's some kind of tax benefit for superheroes...
