Honestly, me too. It's a big part of the selection process. Take the M416. Not bad stats, but I hate the feel of it and generally don't perform well with it.

The ar-15s and hk416s have different gas systems. If dice did a good job, they should have different handling characteristics.

Has anyone else noticed that the velocity of the cartridges stated in the link are 500-1500 fps slower than their real-life counterparts? e.g. the link states 7.62 nato travels at 500m/s (1640 fps) in g3, or 610m/s (2000 fps) in the m240. Normal loads for this cartridge produce a muzzle velocity of 2800 fps, and as the military almost consistently loads hot cartridges, they might be firing around 2900 f/s. Converting 5.56 nato from the link into fps shows they're about 1000 f/s off as well. I don't know anything about russian cartridges, maybe someone else can chime in.
