Is it as hard as BF3...
We must have vastly different definitions of what hard is if getting to 50 in BF is hard.
I think I've heard it said that 50 in BC2 takes about as long as it takes to get COL 100 in BF3. I wouldn't know myself as I only ever got to 25 before making a new soldier thus resetting my level to 1.

yup your right, even after playing BC2 for so long im only level 43 or something. While that does not say that it was a harder or easier game, leveling up did take longer.

I would say they are both equal. Although I haven't gotten Colonel 100 in BF3 I did get to level 50 in BC2. It took me like 500 hours to get to rank 50. I would say there are more avenues for accumulating more points in BF3 thus making ranking up seem to go faster.
